Well they are cheap and pretty good for hiking. They are good for people who do outdoor related activities. Most people who wear that don't really care to be fashionable.

ITT: faggots make a dumb trend trying to look as bad as possible and then get upset after it dies in 2 weeks. This is just paalewave and normcore all over again. If you actually wear this shit thinking it looks good you deserve the ridicule you will get from plebs and fashionable people alike

This is basically the aspect of techwear that I even bother with the threads, I live in Scandinavia so it's just mad fucking practical to have techy clothing, also hiking and /out/ shit is fun so it's a bonus I can do that and look good at the same time.
And my focus has been on the Scandi brands anyway, shit like Fjällräven, Houdini, Sasta, Haglöfs, Tierra etc

What the hell? I'm taking a geology course right now and everyone is dressed like that. My professor even wears the same dorky shorts.
>>
>>9109973
no. you need to have your jacket in a silly color. you dont clash enough. look at the OPic. there isnt a single person in there doing a proper color pallet. the coat is fine but get a pair or red pants or something.

A lot of the old physics experimentalists at my school dress like this, albeit more disheveled. It's the theory guys that have that boring, professorial look.

i like the idea of functional clothing that actually gets used

i want to make a fit kinda like >>9109973 except i would roll around in the dirt outside first to get it nice and worn looking, so no matter where I was I'd always look like i'd just walked out of the tundra.

it is an entirely different philosophical proposition.

with techwear we are engaged in a summoning the future which is sited in the east asian metropolis. here we see techwear at play with cyberpunk futures and the frenzied acceleration of the process.

with geologycore we see a radical shift from the accelerated circuitries of capitalist efficiency and ever more compacted intensification of events. in many ways we are seeing a going-back towards of life towards non-life in the other direction, which i will name deccelerationism.

in geology the slow movement of tectonic plates contrasts with capitalist speed (which pervades all modern life), the ordered chaos of geology's 'events' are spoken of in millions of years, whereas we speak in terms of mere nanoseconds in the chaotic order of automated financial transactions that are at work everywhere in the east asian metropolis.

>>
>>9107422
y r u taking this so seriously
>>
>>9109973
well, there's a demon spawning in the bottom right corner, so i'd say yes
>>
>>9111351
what is the most geologycore way to die? i propose that in death, geologycorists should be subsumed in geology's process, which is to say such events as an erupting volcano.

so indeed we geologycorists should want to die in such a manner. we should be very comfortable in this death, to "die in a fucking fire", so to speak.
>>
>>9107250
People who spend a significant amount of time long distance hiking and mountaineering will find that pieces of their gear seep into their wardrobe. Nobody's walking down the street with long johns+shorts and a down jacket but you might start wearing your soft shell when you have to get to work because it's held up to hell and has a good look.

i recently bought this soft shell
is it too shitty to wear as casual wear?
>>
>>9107192
I'm studying in South America right now. Their skin is really weather-worn and looks really bad past like 25
>>
>>9107229
What season are those rick shoes?
>>
>>9111461
My whole point with "geologycore" or whatever was wear what is functional when you hike. Find a good soft shell with a focus on functionality and you might just end up wearing it when the weather requires.

That being said, the jacket is pretty boring and dadcore.
>>
Everyone where I live already dresses like this.
