Yes, tattoos can indeed, believe it or not, be fashionable. I have no tattoos, if I were to ever get one, it'd be pretty minimalistic and simple. It'd have to mean something to me.

I think the trouble with a tattoo like that is that it relies too heavily on the sharpness of the lines which is a issue not just because of the natural blurring but because the location of it means that it would do so inconsistently.

Hence in less then a year the part of the hand would be a complete mess compared to the rest of it.
