Honestly that's an incredibly uniformed statement. Yes he has gotten lots of attention in the last years from rap culture and everything it encompasses but that was only the sneakers and maybe the most simple easy to wear pieces.Fw14 and Ss15 were huge steps in the right direction for me. Sterling seems to have had a profound effect on Simons making him revert back to his more artistic roots,I'm so excited for their new label together. Some people really don't like fw14 and that's understandable the knits look sloppy along with some other pieces but that has always been one of my favorite things about Raf, his imperfections, his willingness to send out things that aren't perfect as long as they scream emotion. SS15 was also fantastic I really wish he hand sewn on the pictures like he used to not only the fact of the quality vs printing them but also the aesthetic and DIY look it gives off. Besides that the nautical jackets were beautiful and the work shirts were also nice. My favorite pieces were the tank tops though. Hand beaded tank tops with beautiful landscapes on them Raf hasn't put that much attention into his work in a long time and I can only thank his time designing at Dior for that. Haute Coutre is a completely different level of design and I think Raf has fallen in love with it and is trying to emulate some of the techniques of Coutre in his own work. so no I really don't think he has started to make clothing for the sole purpose of getting hypebeast's allowances.

Virginia Creeper is amazing the knits and huge coats I especially love. Really though the entire show was amazing,juxtaposition of natural flowing materials andman made fabrics along with the contrasting color schemes are just fantastic and fit so well with the theme and vision of the show.

Yea I do look at shows like fw01 there is nothing close to perfect about the pieces but thats intentional and the emotion that show gives off I love and you don't find it from many other designers.

Many of the early shows are pretty hard to find a lot of the pictures are online and there are a few videos up too. Otherwise you'll just have to do some digging around. You'll definitely find pictures from every show though might want to check the Sufu archives.

SS08 had so many grails the back packs, the de Stijl boots, the double tees it really was a nice show. SS13 definitely wasn't one of my favorites but the boyish look Raf loves so much was very prominent during that show and its a look Ive always liked from Raf. I think the sneakers from that shoe go without saying how amazing they are. I've seen a few pairs pop up on grailed but I've never had enough money at the time to cop.

Completely agreed he has definitely lost some passion in that sense. He no longer is so fascinated with rebellion and that youth culture but I still think it's a point of inspiration in his work but not nearly to the level it used to be.

There were some sleeveless shirts you do have to keep in mind it's a ss show so it's going to be more bear bones. Also since the inspiration behind this show was punk and metal bands I think that was captured very well and the shirtless men in only pants and shoes is much more understandable.
