Anybody else here into/ trying to start screen printing as a hobby? I built a frame the other day (20"x14") for se shirts and bought some pretty cheap ink from an art store but now I'm really just looking for ideas. I'm going to buy one of the AA imperfect packs to practice on. So screen printing general i guess, pic is my ink, screen filler and drawing fluid

I just finished my first print Friday, pic related. Anon, be sure to hella hella hella waterproof your edges or you'll be rebuilding that screen very soon. At LEAST 50% of screen printing is taking care of your screen.

lol I happened to snapchat partway through. So as opposed to a lot of screens/stencils you see for things like shirt designs, in fine art silkscreening you continuously use the same screen and add on to your stencil. So I started with an open screen, which I used to put down a light grey highlight. Then I used the screen filler to block my highlight areas and printed another run. Then I blocked out my second lightest areas, printed again, etc. This is 6 runs.
