Fall inspo, especially on the rugged side.
>you are now aware that trying to pull off this rugged look on your skinny teenager bodies, without any hair on your face, will end up looking like ABSOLUTE shit and not even acceptable by mfa standards
>tfw 24, naturally rugged look, beard finally filled in nicely after 2-3 years of growth (but keeping it 'trimmed' and not out of control)
Feels great, I love Fall now. Also, stop projecting.
>look at Fall inspo threads
>get excited, so many good ideas
>go to store
>start picking out some stuff
>try things on
>pair some stuff together
>everything looks like complete garbage
>you regret making most of the purchases
>only end up wearing stuff once in a while
Every. Time. Every. Year.
I don't understand how this happens. Don't you wear some of the clothes that is your base when you go shopping? What's the disconnect between the purchase and the wearing?
>white t shirt
How are you fucking this up? Fall is basic af to get right
Just remember the /fa/ holy trinity of fit, quality and aesthetics and you can't go wrong
Start rowing and fix your skin - you too can be preppy
Seriously, if you're brought up a certain way, nothing can suit a young guy better than this
>dem comfy clothes
>dat comfy jacket
>dem leaves in the background
>dat football throwin' with a buddy
>dat time of day where the sun is slowly setting and the lights are just starting to turn on
COMFY. AS. FUCK. Why is Fall so damn based?
>tfw late to lectures
>got to have that essay on the romantics in by 5 today, better head to the library later
>then chill by the group bonfire and see that qt later whilst thinking of the future
okay guys, my mom bought me this cardigan last winter. is there anything i can do with it to make it wearable? i usually just wear jeans and a t shirt, and i go to a state school so it seems a little dressy. any clothing combo that would make it usable
anything to make it work or should i toss it out?
(i'm aware that old navy is a shit brand)
boots are fucking horrid, and all these threads are an embarrassment to the board
much as I don't like the monochrome basics that have taken over this board, they beat this bullshit pretty easily
It's not that the pieces here are bad necessarily. Although some of them are. The point is more that a lot of these outfits are SO catalog-core that it pains me to think that someone looks at them and thinks "yes, this is what inspires me". Where's the creativity?
Plus, like I said at the top of the post, in case you missed it, the boots look ffffucking awful.
And I'm tired of cheap mall brands masquerading as "rugged" (OP's words) clothing -- people get made fun of on this board for calling Red Wings "work boots", but that isn't even half as bad as pretending that the dude in OP's post is wearing anything "rugged".
We can still make a giant leaf pile and jump in it together and be friends.
>82 in Southern NH
Old Navy is not a shit brand. Their stuff is fairly quality for a very reasonable price. I have this same cardigan in gray. You just got stuck with an awkward color, unfortunately.
Cardigans are not too formal for class. Anyone who gives you shit about it is a projecting insecure faggot. Just throw this on over a plaid with the middle two buttons done. Works well with jeans or chinos. Considering the color, I would avoid wearing it with khaki colored pants.
A cardigan like this could work well with boots or even boat shoes if it's early autumn. I personally think wearing something like this with sneakers would look shitty because the styles clash, but if you have a pair in mind I guess it's up to you.
You can wear boots if they're picked nicely, and jeans, a sweater with a shirt underneath, preferably crew neck (v-necks look like shit on most people), maybe a scar and there you go.
Don't overthink it too much. Sure you won't look like a lumberjack just because you wear jeans and boots, but you probably knew that already.
>look out the window this morning and see it's miserable and raining
>put on brogues, jeans, t shirt, oxford, jumper, scarf, wool/cashmere overcoat
>fucking dying all day
Hot/humid/overcast is the all time shit tier weather. Crisp/dry/cold is GOAT frankly. I don't think I'll ever move to a hot country (actually considering moving to Scotland for a few years, the layering I could do there would be sick)
this picture pisses me off for some reason. something about it makes me want to kill that faggot. that fit isnt coherent at all. boots look like shit. jacket looks ghey with fur on it. grey shirt looks like shite. his face is punchable. and that hair what the fuck
NH person on /fa/
be still my heart there's hope for us yet
/fa/ is becoming more cataloguecore every day. for how often i still people shittalking mfa on here, the quality of this board has seriously dropped to about the same level for the most part.
It's pretty cool, I'm going to college in southwestern Vermont, but I live in nh. Both states are rally nice in he fall, you should definitely visit. I like the because I can't stand he heat anywhere else, and I love autumn here.
I wasn't prepared for this thread but I hate how inspo threads are all comments and no images.
sorry mate forgot to reply to you - bit out of my price range unfortunately... I was looking at about £90-100 or less per shirt, maybe with exceptions if the pattern is really nice.
There was a nice APC blue flannel in some shops but it comes up super short and looks stupid =/
>Going to be 90 in NY Friday
I might just kill myself. Autumn pls come sooner.
you're not even listing valid reasons
maybe you're secretly bi and you can't reconcile your homophobia with the intense pants-tearing trip to boner city that this picture inspires within you
just let it happen
c'mon fuck a guy
seriouly, this board acts like workwear is hard to pull off or something, It's literally the most simple and socially acceptable look for any guy.
having the belt all flappy flappy looks retarded. it honestly will ruin a look. and the boots dont quite match. theyre too bright, and draw the eye too much. its unbalanced. on top of which, his belt doesnt match his shoes. what a fucking homo. no qualms with the hair though.
The most /fa/ movie?
We Vermonters basically consider NH to be our more established sibling since they have things like shopping plazas, four-laned roadways and buildings taller than five stories.
It's really not that different from Vermont in terms of style and climate though.
>102 in TX
>there is no fall coming for us for a while
>there will never be a winter
MA here. NH is nothing but tax free booze, fireworks, and lake winnipesaukee. vermont is pretty great in every way i can think of though, except those mother fuckers on the covered bridges and in the rotaries. damn vermont, learn how to drive in rotaries ffs.
I live in southwestern NH (near monadnock) so I'm about an hour or two from any large city. It's really not all that different from southern VT. Never really been to upstate VT, but upstate NH is disgusting.
I really like the jeans and the boots, but I'm a pale guy with darkblonde hair. What could I combo on it to not look even more pale?
If I would wear pic related, I would probably look like a zombie.
