give credit where credit is due anon, hipsters look for authenticity and originality, qualities that herschel products both lack. OP's bag is closer to what internet would call tumblr-core, and she would probably identify herself as "alt" rather than hipster , a title she still probably secretly rejoices in receiving.
when even the greasy neckbeards on campus have one (as if a $80 backpack makes up for jizz stained basketball shorts and 6 feet BO radius), you know theyre played the fuck out
luckily, all you need to do is grab a seam ripper from a sewing kit and take the logo off
we just trying to look out for you OP
for one thing, magnetic clip buttons can't hold for shit, pleather straps dry up and crack, and it's made to look like a back that's better quality and goes for less, so you're basically spending your parent's money to advertise you are sheeple
From what I hear, it isn't so much the aesthetic is bad (because it isn't) so much as it is relatively cheaply built. less than Jansport quality for higher prices. Proceed with caution, but cop if you like it because it is big and you can fit all your books in it as well as your sandwich and passport :)
I did an rgis the first time and found the link; was going to give you a hard time about it too, but now it doesn't show up anymore in the search results, so dug up my history for you anon.
it's a swiss military backpack.
used to be cheap, now every auctioneer and etsy store tries to rip people off.
you can still get smaller daypacks at reasonable prices, like
I don't see why you would want to pay for any of those when you can get pic rel (the modern version of the pack) from literally any milsurp online worth the the name for less than a Herschel.
less smelly heavy and clunky, better colour scheme, not as played out.
