Get them. You are going to run into 3 kinds of people. People who like them, people who don't because they like dress shoes or running shoes more, and people who would prefer a silhouette of a shoe with 52 eyelets that cover the entire top of the shoe like cp's or chucks.

I think these shoes are awesome, they are comfy, cheap, and will last a long time if you try not to skate them. Mine are a year old in this fit and are still in great shape.

Yellowed soles on white shoes looks awesome. Also they get yellow from heat and humidity,not so much from wearing them. If you don't want your soles to yellow look up how to store them safely, but I think it looks awesome on white sneakers, especially af1's.
