winter coat/inspo thread
who's ready for layering?
haven't seen this posted in a while, used to show up in every inspo thread
I'd be willing to sell mine for relatively cheap since I'm trying to renovate my wardrobe.
Unless you're joking.
what kind of coat is this and where can i get one
that pic's been around for a while, probably not around anymore.
This is pretty similar, though
>tfw living in florida
>tfw I will never get to do any sick layering.
I'll be the only helpful one. Irs not properly double brested, because only two buttons do something, but that aside, I'd say its a wool pea coat. Lanvin do something similar, but not this big at all. This is probably thrifted.
Not a pea coat in the slightest given its length and cut. It's just a double-breasted coat with dropped shoulders. This one is single-breasted, but you get the idea.
It's a very common silhouette that you'll see from tons of contemporary and designer brands. Everyone from Rachel Comey to Margiela to Rag & Bone to The Row will do it or something like it. Just wait to do your fall shopping when the fall collections actually arrive.
I bought this, it's fucking nice and a heritage piece as well.
>Lowest it gets is 50s for only a few days every winter.
Anyone got any inspo for wearing shirts/flannels as almost a sort of jacket?
This was posted in cop or not the other day. Anyone know what is it? Brand?
oops forgot to mention i'll dump some cool coats
Any idea what kind of coat this is? I'm looking for something like this and OP's pic.
Are these good enough for winter (UK)?
im looking for a good winter coat because last winter was rough in Canada. I need something that will keep me warm, lowest was around -18 C (like o or 1 F) and way colder with the wind. Ive been looking at fjallraven jackets but ive heard they dont fit very well. Also i dont mind the longer parka jackets either. Im 6'1 and lanky if that matters
any help would be great /fa/
Anyone have anything which would go with a light-blue suit-shirt with a tie and black trousers?
they have the winter parka here
but they dont have an equivalent on the canadian website, only the normal greenland parka
digging this style though, thanks
Anyone know w2c some long sort of 'out there' outerwear? I'd cop Rick if I could but it's too much at the moment.
I might wait for the CM yearly parka but the whole parka and boot look is already done.
>tfw own this but can't wear it because of california weather
Whoa look at Mr. Fashion, oooh using the correct terminology.
Making funny Joke Posts to be witty and teach Anon a lesson. :)
Good job mate.
You should hit me up on FB we can post Cool Jokes sometime alright? :)
Junior this coming year. I'm actually headed to asheville tomorrow pre-semester for some job hunting.
Also to pick up a rick sleeveless which I accidentally shipped there instead of my home address
this reminded my story
>go to Mexico city to get drunk with some friends
>go and get a friend to La Condesa
>one of the most entitled part of the city
>shit looks great and feels great but isnt that top shit
>every 2 minutes is see someone dressed like these
>every 30s i see a pair of red Dr Martens or some monos now and then
>yoga pants in a very 90´s style
>MFW in some sort of minimalistic fit
>wearing chelsea boots
>everyone was eyeing
>probably in the bad way
so yeah, dont dress like this
anyways, should i cop a pair of Dr Martens for this winter? thinking on pairing them with a wool corssed longcoat and skinny jeans
it seems they´re pretty damn cheap here because even in the pleb areas there were plente of people wearing them
I want to cop a Filson jacket so damn badly, but all of their sizes are way too big for me. Anyone know where I can cop something similar (as far as quality and styling) that's made for people <5'8"? That seems like the cut-off height for most brands.
m8 I'm a 36 chest, and it fit's like a fucking dream. My only complaint is minor, and that the arm sleeve width is a bit too wide at the top, but it tapers down snuggly at sleeve end
>Thin shirt-tier shit everywhere
It's like none of you faggots have ever gone out in -30 (That's -22 in fahrenheit)
>tgfw southern oregon
>20s to 40s almost everyday in the winter
I'm feeling minimal wool longcoats are going to be the thing this year but, I can't stop associating them with fedora wearing Dr. Who fans who wear them 2 sizes to big with dad jeans.
I got one of these bush shirts recently and have been wearing it. I'm happy with the purchase but I'm not sure that I could recommend it to you.
There are better options cost-wise, function-wise and aesthetic-wise.
I enjoy wearing it, though. It's comfy and old school.
Why the fuck have you disrespected that perfectly innocent Swandri by turning it into a faggot coat for faggots?
Fuck you, you insufferable piece of shit. You crossed a line. Commit suicide immediately.
It isn't me, just got it off of google images. How about this guy wearing a different one?
that's what you get for not checking the size. Usually when you buy from online stores they tell you how tall the model wearing the jacket is to give you a better understanding of the size.
These longer jackets aren't made for manlets because it would mess with the proportions of the jacket. All CM parkas between xs and m are essentially the same length.
What bomber anon?
>tfw need to cop grail jacket
I wonder if our generation would continue the taboo against taking things from dead people?
We've played so much vidya that includes looting corpses, I'm not sure if we'd consider it to even be morally grey.
mfw it has probably been looted already
Quilted jackets are usually more like this.
w/ black buttons sans shoulder boards
better than a pea coat
Anyone have experience with Alpha Industries? I like these. How to they feel, are they warm, are they high quality, etc
Hood on white jacket is a detachable liner
Kek, I live in a desert mate, no snow ever, hardly any rain and it's still in the 80s during autumn, it's still the best time of year.
Christmas doesn't fucking matter when you move out of your parents house, grow up kid.
implicitly because I thought that silent appreciation was the modus operandi for /fa/ threads and w2c questions in general, and folks saying thank you is typically out of the norm from what I've seen.
But I could be wrong.
Either way, I made a mistake. The jacket I found is the Tretorn sub, not the tretorn alf. can't find the sub in any online shops outside of some sketchy polish shit and since I'm in the USA and broke that's a no-go. But the alf looks nice and more widely available.
Well as long as your not in the city where the snow gets dirty and theres salt and gravel everywhere... and not in the countryside where there's just snow and ice. Then yeah, go for it.
As a Doctor Who fan I can comfirm. Its like you cant be in a "fandom" and know how a measuring tape works at the same time. Though some of those people get really good at tailoring because they actually try. Still, I cant lie, the fedora wearing Doctor Who try their best to ruin long coats.
>bought a wool great coat/overcoat made for a civilian airline for like 10 dollars
>it has a fucking hood instead of lapel
>It's probably something for foreign flights commander, the guy was probably called André and has the exact same measurements as I do.
>the hood is giant
>take it to a seamstress "fix this shit"
>tfw it's nice now
>comfy as shit
If my camera worked I would take a picture.
Nope. Not even internet pictures. I think it's either for pilots or the guys who are in the runway. All it had is two tags. One with the Airline name the other with washing instructions and a CNPJ number which tells me it was made by a company who makes lots of uniforms but has no pictures of it in their sites. Tomorrow or later today I'll probably get a pic. It's deep blue. When it had a coat it was full fedora autism. It made you look like Merlin or some shit. But the seamstress made a lapel and and collar and now it's nice.
It's somewhat similar to this now. It's really something for cold weather or heavy rain. (We have more of the latter here).
To fix the collar I'll add a few more buttons all the way to the collar so it looks a bit like OP's when buttoned. The only sad thing is that I'll have to lose the original Airline buttons. They are cheap plastic but...
Edit: Found one spare button sewed into the breast pocket. Things may not be so bad afterall.
idk if you can see the wool coat properly
w2c parka similar to this one but without the faux fur shit in and on the hood
>not liking faux fur
