Your pic is pretty good imo, the button down + v neck works really well, but I'd avoid white shirts. You can ditch the sweater if it's too warm, and maybe switch in a polo. Just don't wear a t shirt and don't wear any colors that are too close to white and you'll be fine I think, collared shirts look much better with lab coats and white on white is no good. White sneakers with a lab coat would be cool though.
