I'll post this here since it's about bags, I need a bag for University/Travel/Business.

Basically I need something with a lot of room for laptop, electronics, clothing, water bottle, books, pens, pencils etc. and want it to be a rectangle durable backpack that is waterproof, anti theft and ergonomic for my body.

>>
Here are some brands that make good quality backpacks, do your own research:

Porter
Master-Piece
Gregory
Klättermusen
Cote & Ciel
Arc'teryx
Tom Bihn
Mission Workshop
Patagonia
North Face (certain models)

Shit / meme / just ugly:
Fjällraven
Jansport
Herschel
Osprey
Eastpack
All military backpacks except maybe Goruck
Backpacks a child going to first class would wear ( >>12715972 )
Backpacks that cost 20 usd ( >>12715372 )

As a rule of thumb quality backpacks come with a (lifetime) warranty.

Enjoy!

Like with anything, you get what you pay for, but with backpacks it's twice as true.

Unless you just want a nylon shell without anykind of support (Kånken etc), I would not recommend getting anything below 100 € because in that price range they simply have to use inferior materials. Even if the bag seems fine in the shop you will start to notice the lack of quality a few months in.

The price point for decent backpacks starts from around 100 €, and can go up to 400 € with likes of Porter (in which case you'll be paying a premium for hype). Generally after 150-200 you're only paying for the brand or special way of construction or materials (talking about a backpack for everyday use). Expect a life-time warranty in this price-point.

All the 100+ € backpacks from The North Face are ok, then it's just more the question for personal preference. In the lower price range North Face is kind of an exception with their Borealis-model, it's a very well made bag for that price, but not something I would get myself.

I think Master-piece has one of the best price/quality ratios, but at least here in Paris there selection is very limited, so I went with something else. If I ever go to Nippon will probably cop.

One more thing, go the shops to see how the bags are like, or prepare to do few rounds of returns with your online store of choice.

Good, in Italy every 18-25yo person has one so i'm staying away from that.

100 € is generally the minimum for a decent bag for proper brands.

You can go see the lower end Timbuk2-bags or if I remember right Patagonia has one affordable roll-top. Rapha is also a proven design. Gregory is one good option in that price range also.

If you can survive with 20L take that. 25 L absolute max (unless a roll-top). Otherwise it will be annoying to bike with.

Good luck.

I also like pic related a lot, fjällraven's only popular backpack is the kanken, right?

I'm sure Ospreys are very good bags for hiking, but I'd still rather get something a Klättermusen or Fjällraven. Mainly because I have a 25 year old small Fjällraven hiking bag and it's still in excellent condition, and still doesn't look autist.

So, I just came back from a festival and used my 30$ Eastpak 620 for shopping. A whopping 22 cans of beer fit into it (so the friend who came with me and me had to drink one) and it didn't feel like it would be ripping apart or so. They are ugly but ultra utilitarian.

Starting my last year in uni soon. I currently rock this fugly swiss backpack that honestly works for what I need/use it for, but I'm still looking to replace it.

The only problem is I have type 1 diabetes, so very recently I've had to carry a big bag of cottonballs, a somewhat large container of glucose tablets, insulin pens, needles, among various other medical shit. I also have asthma so thats yet another article I need to have in my bag at all times. The swiss bag can hold all of this, however in a very unorganized fashion. I want something like
>>12725177
>>12718944
that won't break the bank.

Is there some sort of bag that has a lot of littlier bags that can accommadate my situation? Am I better off going with milsurp? I kinda want to avoid milsurp for fear of looking like a army wanna be fag
>>

>>12728399

I've been using this Goruck for several years now, and it works great. I switch back and forth between it and a Jansport Superbreak, which is a killer backpack provided that it's unspeakably gay logo / branding is removed. The Jansport is probably the most beautiful backpack ever made, but purely functional-wise the Goruck is way better. The Goruck I have looks great because it doesn't have MOLLE straps on the outside, but nothing can trump the unpretentious simplicity of a Jansport or Eastpak. Their functionality is greatly improved by Tom Bihn Caches:

https://www.tombihn.com/products/cache?variant=23012415687

And their functionality is also improved by any of the Tom Bihn Freudian Slips, which are made of a very soft fabric which bends to fit inside basically any backpack.
>>
>>12733312
Oh fuck off with your mall-tier jansports and eastpaks.
Goruck is great for outdoors, but Cordura isn't exactly the kind of material you want to have rubbing to your designer shirt all day.
>>
>>12733645

Sounds like you have shit taste, son. "Mall-tier" has no bearing on an object's aesthetics, only on it's perceived value in terms of being rare or being commonplace. Which is another way of saying that "mall-tier" is a phrase which is strictly used by know-nothing children. Is there an endless amount of tacky, branded garbage sold in malls? Yes, obviously. And are there simple basics sold in malls which can be readily modified into 10/10 tasteful everyday clothing? Yes, obviously. As far as "great for outdoors", where else do you plan on wearing a backpack you fucking moron? From your bedroom in your parent's house downstairs to the living room? And Cordura is just the trade name for a collection of fabrics made of pure nylon or made of a nylon/cotton blend, which is what 99% of all backpacks are constructed of. And only the dumbest of dumbasses would be uptight about wearing a nylon backpack over his gay-ass "designer" shirt.

The problem is your bag, you should never need an insert, you just need a new bag. You need more than one, your bag should be functional and you should adjust what bag you wear based upon how much gear you need to take with you. Sometimes you need more, sometimes you need less. Organizers are memes and should ALWAYS be avoided.

Why even post?
>>12722553
Looks like something a typical 16-20 would wear.
>>12722558
I like it.
>>12723305
Meh.
>>12725528
I would need to feel those hooks myself before judging it.
>>12725710
I would never want to.

Did Shadow the Hedgehog design these?

When will the buckle over strap meme die. It's so fundamentally terrible.
>>12726911
Not bad, but don't bring it to work.
>>12726989
100% basic
>>12727057
Stick with orange, use outdoors only.

>one and only
Average.
>>12727354
Ew.
>>12728188
The boxy look only looks good if you're wearing slim fit memewear office attire.
>>12728371
What would you actually wear this with?
>>12728399
Blending in isn't always bad.
>>12728444
Stop.
>>12728803
Why?

>>12737806

>>12738140
Try looking for a laptop bag instead of a messenger unless you really need that much space.

>>12738507
Do you plan on opening and closing this frequently?

>>12738665
Doesn't look bad but looks a little off in some ways.

>>12738674
Too small/short

>>12738986
Eh.

>>12739680
Gorgeous. A little too big for everyday use, but that looks like a fantastic travel bag.

>>12740439
The metal is very feminine.

>>12740960
Buckles are too large.

>>12741376
Looks like it wants to be a backpacking backpack but only committed 40%

>>12742221
Feels like it would be accompanied by Pac Sun apparel.
>>
What do you people have against backpacks that look like a elementary/middle schooler would use them?
