Dang flabbit miley
Hedi did some nice stuff with this, but it's much more "western wear" than actually capturing the current aesthetic of the southwest. I wish there was more of a trend towards casual, wearable, modern western-influenced looks but all I see actually being worn is old rich southerners and post-ironic yuppies playing cowboy dress-up.

Same anon here, dumping some costumes from modern western movies I feel capture the SW look well without looking corny. This trailer for Lucky does it pretty well I think https://youtu.be/2KLLkj84GAo

No Country For Old Men isn't a terribly effay movie IMO (at least as far as costuming goes), most of the characters just dress like unfashionable average joes, but it worked this aesthetic masterfully. Just enough cowboy boots/hats and pearl snaps to remind you were you are, without veering into Gene Autrey cosplay.

I think it's also pretty important to remember the west in general is a lot broader than just cowboy style, kitschy, run down, midcentury "route 66" style Americana is a part of it too.

Raising Arizona did this look very well, with a bit of a sleazier feel too it. Sleazecore in general can fit SW style well though.
