if you don't know, get a casio.
Don't spend that much on something you don't absolutely love
>>12666954
datejust gold or go home
>>12666954
a fake one, just to appreciate the real deal more later on
I will never ever understand the appeal of costly watches and that's coming from someone born in Switzerland. The watch should be an accessory that compliment your outfit not cost MORE than your fucking outfit.

Were you the top seller on your dealership?

You're on the wrong fucking board, retard

Any rolex is fine in terms of quality, just look thru most popular ones like datejust, milgauss or air king. There is no point in owning a rolex just because it's a rolex not because you like it.

an IWC of course

magic tripple dubs don't lie
>>12666954
Definitely get a vintage one if you can.
6241 is my grail but I don't have 100 grand spare. Other than that I like pic related, the 6541

This.
I would rather get an IWC, an Audemars Piguet or a Hublot chronograph than a Rolex.

3rded. Does it have to be a rolex? I'd be picking between IWC or Jaeger Le Coultre at that price range.
What is the appeal of a very expensive watch? I can understand a quality watch up to maybe $400-500 but beyond that just seems like a waste. It's like buying a stupid expensive pair of shoes that you'll end up walking outside and ruining on the first rainy day.
Perhaps its just me.

Some people are extremely wealthy, so buying a $100k watch is like buying a $500 for you.
Others are interested in movements, aesthetics, etc.
And a lot of speculations too.

It could be any number of specific reasons, but it ultimately boils down to the same reasons people buy music or toys or expensive clothes or lots of other things: an appreciation of the craft or artistry behind it, a desire for something rare or which makes a statement, or something similar to that. For people who can afford it, it's a justifiable expense.
