I usually brush it completely back then mess it up to where its pic related. Sweat is your natural hair product. If it's getting to the point to where it feels disgusting and greasy it's time to use some conditioner. Never use shampoo.

True that. We really do have similar hair, I usually just rinse with cool water but I'll keep that in mind that conditionor is better than shampoo. I like to try and push it behind my ears on the side but there's to much hair. Idk if I should ask a barber to "thin it out" or just cut it shorter.

I was hoping if I keep growing it out I could push it all back like on nightcrawler. Are you able to do that with your hair? Do you have any advice on pomades, etc ?

If your hair gets to the point to where you you need to trim it because it's getting a bit long then you probably should do it yourself. Only you know how much hair you want to take off. Barbers always fucked my hair up whenever I tell them I want about half of an inch trimmed off.
