I've let my hair grow out a bit since December and trying to figure out what to do with it.

how the fuck do i deal with dry, frizzy hair? i can style my hair to look pretty good using a small amount of water and pomade, but it only lasts about an hour or two before it drys out and looks shit.

i don't use shampoo, wash using cold water every few days and only use conditioner about once a week. i dry it using a hairdryer until slightly damp then apply pomade and comb it to shape.

Depends on the shape of your head and whether you have a cowlick in the back.

Start by keeping the 2 relatively low. You can always bring it up higher but you can never make it lower.

There wont be much difference between a 2 and a 3 so there won't be much fading possible / necessary, other than maybe pulling the shorter clippers away from your head where they meet up with the 3. In cases where you are going from a 2 to a 4, you would keep the 2 low, go a little higher with the 3, and then higher with the 4.

Use good clippers though or it's gonna look like mange.

I don't use shampoo but for conditioner I rotate each day with maui moisture coconut milk or maui moisture bamboo fibers. And I use a stay in conditioner post shower, garnier sleek and shine. It depends on your hair type and what environment you live in. My work is hella dusty, I run minimum 5k a day and the climate is dry as Fuck, plus my hair is thin and longer. no, im not. this is the best i can get on a "day after" shower. normally it looks wayyy worse and i constantly have to style it throughout the day.

i occasionally use Hanz De Fuko shampoo and conditioner but usually just a Suave almond+shea butter shampoo and conditioner. i shampoo and condition every 2 days, and after the shower i put in a bit of mousse and some volumizing sprays. comb and blow dry.

Alright, try showering at night before bed instead. Use only conditioner every day from now on and don't touch shampoo. Shampoo only strips hair of its oils to "clean it". Use a sea salt spray for volume instead and use a stay in conditioner every second day (sea salt spray really dehydrated hair). Try John Frieda Beachblonde salt spray, of all the ones I've tried this one has both preformed the nicest and smells really fucking good. Your biggest problem is you keep touching your hair. Stop it. It just rubs out the product onto your hands and gets your hair oily, pressing it down

what should I do with my hair ?
It's always falling on my face or the sides and it's annoying, it started as a normal haircut where the middle part is significantly longer than the back and sides and I got to this.

I like having my hair short but whenever I get it cut short I lose all texture. I've got fairly dense and wavy (not curly) auburn hair with a cowlick/part on my left side, generally I part it there since if I don't it becomes incredibly unruly. In general if I cut my hair short and use a product to style it I lose any sense of depth, it becomes incredibly flat.
