Anyway most of the time ive seen these they are orbs hanging on the hair, like giant hair beads that keep it in a tight ponytail. im sure they arent just hair clips.

Looks like a heavy hair clamp. Reality it would hurt since its so far down and it would literally pull your hair out. I wouldn't wear it, one good tug from that n your hair is ripped out
I'd say google fashionable hair clamps till you find something similar.
