give me advice, which water-based pomade should I use? For matte finish layrite cement, but I want some sheen like Pink Reuzel, should I buy Blue Reuzel?

wa-wa-water based?
You mean to tell me I've been walking around covered in this shit and ruining pillow cases for no reason.

I'm a Dapper Dan man, myself.

You're better off going to the subleddit or the EP fb group. Also why not just get layrite cream or pomade?

best palmade i have ever used (skin fade to gentlemans cut for the last 5 years) has been suavecito...if you really need good hold, get their firme hold. its not to heavy in your hair and its water based so it washes out real easy
the firme hold works really well, a little heavier but it goes on fine with wet hair
Ive been using the first pommade I've found that I like and I havent tried any others. Its made by old spice and you can buy it at the grocery store.

The firme hold is great. I could never find a pomade that would keep my hair in place without looking and feeling disgusting until my barber suggested Suavecito.
I find it actually works best if I apply a bit of Layrite medium hold first to make my hair more pliable and then once that's dry I use the Suavecito to style it. I just wish it didn't smell so strong.

What's a good pomade that doesn't add much volume? Trying to experiment with some different styles

I have a very thick hair, would you recommend Suovecito for me? I use clay pomades right now, but hate how sticky it makes my hair.

yea my hair is fucking thick as fuck so dont worry about that, if you have a problem just put more in lol...it depends on how long your hair is but usually i would just load up the fingertip of my middle finger and go to town, but as my hair got longer and i started styling it more slicked back, i had to use more. thats when the firme hold came in handy, it didnt take as much and held longer but still , the regluar shit works really well for a gentlemans cut
