'Fratshit is not welcome' edition
>>12623664
I never understand why that dick is walking his dog on the road and why he has that stupid expression on his face.
>>12623691
Anon, why does your sweatshirt say supreme? is that a new university? How did you get into this gated community? Honey, just wait a minute, have you seen this young man at all before?
>>12623697
lol
>>12623673
this isn't prep, it's 70s and 80s UK casual scene/football hooliganism. still looks cool tho
>>12623740
desu, prep kind of draws from that whole scene, it's based off European style. I put it in because I like to include realistic prep inspo, not costume level shit that you see in catalogs
>>12623708
this is atrocious
>>12623759
It wasn't preppy, man
Liverpool was god-tier in England and in Europe back in the 80s and their supporters would travel to Italy, Germany, France, etc for away matches
While there they'd bring back Le Coq Sportif, Fila, Stone Island, Sergio Tacchini, Lacoste, and other high-end athletic clothes to show where they'd gone. It eventually caught on as a style.
>>12624024
Why don't you post something good then
Thinking of getting these or something similar to it. Rec some brown loafers
>>12624460
OSBs tbqhfamalam
>>12624468
What are those
>>12624630
Oak Street Bootmakers: https://oakstreetbootmakers.com/footwear
I own a pair of trail oxfords and they are really nice quality
>>12624634
Ooh yikes, a little pricey. I was looking to spend ~$150 max tbqh
>>12624460
If you have the money, get better quality. Bad apron stitching, rubber sole, square toe and looks like cheap leather.
Allen Edmonds (or their factory seconds if you need them really cheap) are a great starting point. Long run you will benefit (wallet, comfort, and style).
>>12624672
I actually want the rubber sole because I'd like to have good grip, and for them to be comfortable. I'm looking for a more casual loafer I can wear daily instead of something more formal.
>>12623663
Are the blue/white seersucker trousers still cool?
not overtly preppy but I still think it fits
>>12624750
They can still be pulled off, but there can't be any other loud pieces with it, keep the rest of the outfit toned down
>>12623677
beautiful ;_;
>>12624684
Fair enough, those will work fine.
>>12624750
Seersucker is making a comeback (suit wise) so it can work, just make sure the rest of your ensemble is more conservative to balance things out.
What hats are prep?
I'd imagine unstructured "dad" hats and golf hats are, but what else?
tfw you actually go to Yale and everyone just wears hoodies :(, at least there was a dresscode back at my boarding school...
>>12623995
Kek
>>12625435
Start the trend anon.
t. Dartmouth.
>>12625260
Fisherman hats can be prep too, if you wear them on rainy days. VV is meme teir, but they have very inoffensive hat selections
>>12623594
Hey lads I was in one of these threads and saw something i cant remember the name of. It was like prep outdoors with some vintage athletic vibe to it. Anyone know what thats called?
>>12623723
w2c similar looking pants? I always have trouble finding brown coloured clothing items.
>>12626451
those are corduroys if it helps, they usually come in darker colors than typical chinos
Is Fillon /prep/ ?
Just saying: Dunkirk was a pretty preppy movie
>>12627079
Dunkirk? More like Dumpkek
>>12627083
The fits from the little ships were nice
>>12624820
>not overtly preppy
>cable knit sweater
>madras shirt
>corduroys
U wot m8?
>>12623673
I need this fit
Quoddy Blucher Mocs are my favorite loafers, great alternative to boat shoes.
>>12627275
Honestly how are they any different from one another aside from the amount of eyelets?
>>12627278
>Upper is slightly higher
>Camp sole instead of boat sole
>No eyelets on the sides
Also boat shoes are just really oversaturated so I always try to be a little different.
>>12624820
This is actually a great example of classic New England prep. Keep doing you, brah.
>>12627275
tods......
>>12627053
bcbg
It's like prep. But super boring.
>>12627816
Anorak's are extremely red pilled
>>12623682
w2c shoes on the left
>>12627849
Brand is Tretorn.
They make the official Preppy sneaker.
>>12627816
God that color combo makes me hard it's so underused
>>12624820
>sweater too tight and too short
>ugly color too
>madras like shirt except it's very obviously not bleeding and it's too bright, clashes with the sweater
>faggy bracelets
>casual five pocket cords with longwings???
I could see every individual element in this fit working in a different outfit, but this is just a mess.
Can anyone recommend /prep/ winter shoes/boots that aren't duck boots ?
>>12627816
Are your pants Levi's? I used to have a pair just like them til they got a hole in them :/
>>12627824
Explain
>>12628565
Clarks
>>12627815
>It's like prep. But super boring.
Lol what. Is prep not boring enough?
I sure hope you are ready to store away your seersucker suit and madras blazer /prep/, used the hell out of mine for sure.
>>12629155
http://www.dubarry.us/mens-footwear/country-boots
>>12629190
not really prep but I want to post these anyway
>>12629199
damn bush is /fa/ af
Can I contribute?
The GOAT
>>12629217
HALE HORTER
Where the hell can you buy prep clothing that aren't listed at prep prices?
Thrift stores around here is just hippy/stoner stuff.
>>12629238
that looks like the Yale-New Haven Campus.
Those buildings look exactly the same today
t. lives 15 min from New Haven
>>12629246
Where do you live?
also eBay, grailed, etsy.
thrifting on the internet for cool stuff for cheap is hard but worth it when you do find pieces you want.
>>12629252
Portland, OR
>>12629253
yeah stick to the internet for preppy stuff. you won't find anything remotely prep over there.
I live in New England, specifically Connecticut, although I wouldn't consider my self prep (im just a young dude from a humble middle class family) I like taking some Ivy League/Preppy pieces and incorporating it into my wardrobe without making it feel/look like I'm playing pretend "trust fund kid"
>>12629263
Yeah, I honestly don't much care for full-prep outfits. Tends to look pretty try-hard on most people, I just like my fits to be a bit more classic looking.
>>12629089
It's even more boring.
>>12624409
why don't you not shitpost?
>>12629522
thats taticool
not prep
>>12623697
Dude calm the fuck down! His question was legit. Spend your time better the next time
>>12623697
>How did you get into this gated community?
If you knew anything about the typical supreme wearing idiot you'd know its mostly pre-teens/teens from those gated communities you speak of lol.
Recommend a good brown suede driving shoe
>>12629428
>Tfw you started this thread off but somebody makes a useless criticism of one photo, so you ask them to contribute, but then it's shotposting
>>12629522
This is an actual cool style whatever it is
>>12629987
not him but it was an awful photo desu
>>12629525
I kinda disagree. It's super casual prep, boat shoes, short shorts , and classic hair. Only thing that would make it true prep would be a collared shirt.
>>12627275
camp mocs > trail oxfords > loafies > blucher mocs >>>>>>>>>>>>>> boat shoes
>>12630143
>Fleece
>Shit taste in shoes
>Clearly doesn't go boating
Why are you even in this thread?
>>12628579
There is nothing more redpilled than dressing prep and staying dry when it is raining.
>>12628544
Madras shirt is probably new
>>12625011
Kind of awkward imo
>>12629250
w2c glasses???
>>12629199
I really like the top part of Bush's outfit
>>12627816
source for anorak ?
What boots to wear when you want something that is slightly more formal than Bean boots but not as formal as balmoral boots? RM William's?
>>12623594
More inspo like op pic please
Prep is dead.
>>12632058
Ur dead.
I like prep but I wouldn't wear it like a uniform. Just bits and pieces.
>>12632058
you probably dont live in New England if you think its dead.
>>12629132
>madras blazer
Got any fit picks? I'd be interested to see what you wore. I never see preppy fits in WAYWT.
>>12632498
yeah those are more on the same level as bean boots
>>12624249
Liverpool/Manchester and any big teams, particularly scousers though would go all across Europe and steal the foreign clothes that weren't available in England, just like the stuff you mentioned
>>12630583
vintage patty fleece is prep, lad. great layering piece in the cold. you'd know if you went to a school located in NE.
also
>thinking boat shoes connote boating in 2017
>>12630583
>footwear has to correspond with activity it was originally designed for.
Go play basketball in your converse shoes m8.
>>12631432
Probably LL Bean, color scheme from a previous year. Have one from this year, great value.
>>12632867
I didn't say fleece wasn't prep; I just said that it is shit taste.
>>12632874
I never said that they had to be worn during the activity. In fact, you are flipping things around. I implied not liking boat shoes imply that he doesn't boat.
Lots of words, hard to keep track of.
(The above sentence is sarcasm. Indicating this since you are a bit slow.)
>>12628544
>sweater too tight
Ladies in gentleman, I present to you
Autism: the post
Is having a sweater tied around your neck too overtly preppy/frat-core?
Wasn't it a traditional prep style?
>>12633054
Call it whatever you want, KJP dresses like shit and if you disagree you are a pleb
>>12633198
Nah that's from the 80s
Trad guys don't follow trends from after Animal House
>>12633043
Ah you're right. Oops.
>Indicating you're a bit slow.
No need to be rude m8.
