Hello, fellows.
Going as a guest to a wedding, is it still fashionable for a man to have a same colour tie as the dress of his dame? Single colour or pattern?
It never has been, wear a tie color that fits will with the rest of you clothing. This guy/girl matching shit is for the lazy and boring.

No, it never has been. Shows dependence on women or that you're her marked property.
No woman would respect you as a person if you do that.
Don't match your date and spend as little time as possible with your date.
Dance alone or with a bridesmaid, enter conversations with other people away fro. Your date.
Only interact with your date at the table/setting and nowhere else

I have been lied to.
Is it that much of a tragedy, though? She already bought one in the colour of her dress.

Ask her to give it to you early so you can get everything ready for the wedding.
Then
Tell her you're too tall for the one she bought and it came up short when worn. And you "had to go rush out and buy one right before the wedding"
She'd be annoyed but like the fact that you're "too tall" for something despite it being a lie.
Then
Just buy a grendine one or something of decent quality...Brooks Brothers, Hermes etc
I'd personally just cop an Hermes tie and wear it around like "fuck your wedding I'm not doing anything special for this"
Older guests will respect the fact that your tie is worth more than. The groom's stupid 3 piece shit with a purple vest that matches his groomsmen and bridesmaids
Skinny and slim ties are dead. 3.5" width

*sigh* I'm going to be frank, no. As much as I love my suit and shoes, it truly does not matter. I doubt you'll get any comments (good or bad) on your clothing though. Just don't post any pictures of your self where any style conscious people lie. But I do highly suggest doing the independent, sartorial thing. Your girl will most likely prefer that if she does care about true style.

Also this, 3.5" ties are /fa/ as fuck.
