I'd say the most important things to fix about this outfit in particular are the pants and the shoes. the pants are a bit too dark to be considered palewave if thats what you're going for (although that might just be the lighting idk). also the shoes, if you can, try switching them out for a white/off white pair. maybe some converse 70s chuck taylors in off white?
some extra tips if you're into this kinda stuff
- try rolling your cuffs up one more time? so that the ends sit a bit higher up
- maybe tuck your shirt in so you can work a nice belt into your fit. tucked in shirts usually are a good choice if you're shirt is just plain

Yeah I figured I'd get what-are-those'd, they're just my walking shoes (cheap Volleys) as I wasn't at all expecting to go all lookbook on this trek. I don't mind them for the fit but yeah, not ideal. It's a shirt under my vest actually, and yeah, I know what you mean, I don't love it, just copped it for super cheap at Target once lol. It was actually the inspiration for the rest of my outfit though - was cold out, was going on a bit of a trek, and it was my only long-sleeve that wasn't in the wash, so built a fit around it with a bit of a fuck-it yolo mindset.
