Here the real answer: Ricks are basics luxury wear that is hyped and has a strong name with a high price point. People look to rick like porsches and ferrari of clothing, but it doesn't scream "I"M WEARING RICKS" cause it's toned down. People want it to scream that cause it'll stroke their ego and justify purchasing an expensive piece of clothing.

Honest answer is, if you really like the brand/ if you have nothing to talk about and you want to feel better than normies/ if you just want to buy pieces to show off to /fa/ then you're in the category of should cop if you have the necessary funds.

My biased opinion about them is that it attracts people that are like rickheads and have odd taste in fashion buying luxury wear. Or people who are out to show wealth in forms of fashion. And lastly people who hang on social media site that brings it to a god like status like tumblr and /fa/. I don't really want people to care about what I try not to wear branded stuff besides the essentials. Honestly your thoughts about this weighs more power in what clothing is about. I simply don't care about them but i do recognize it's pretty expensive for basic design

Well, you have to book an appointment for a store in Germany -- I've talked with the owner a couple times via email with regards to certain pieces and their pricing.

There are places where you don't have to book appointments -- like Darkland, Maxfields, some other place in LA I can't recall, etc. -- but that specific store in Germany is ONLY CCP, so it's really a special thing since finding his stuff is hard to begin with and to have a place that's dedicated to him? I understand where you are coming from with that but lot of designers offer such unique items in terms of design that I just don't see why choose anything else if you like what they offer.
And like I said, the tees are pretty much the GOAT, in my opinion anyway, and I don't mind paying extra if I'm getting something that's just straight up the absolute best there is
And as far as 'justifying the price' goes, the mark up is the same on items, rick leathers, and I agree they are easily his best items, start from 2k, they are luxury items, "justifying the price" is always on the individual consumer.

imo rick doesn't work in real life. he's got a strong aesthetic and his runways look great but this can't transfer into the everyday life. today rick has inspired all/been imitated by all fast-fashion and streetwear brands. people going full rick often go for the most 'meme' rick-clothes and completely forget their sense of personal style. they end up looking like a slightly extreme zara-wearer-that-likes-offwhite, and only manage to be slightly above the asian tourist in paris that wears full-off white. only good rick fits i've seen are either people wearing his stuff as basics or using personal style, and some very very very rare cases of people going full rick with his most avant-garde pieces.
