To fight acne scars or balding.
No. I have both though, does this shit work?

>No. I have both though, does this shit work?
Probably not, viral marketing is a thing.
Acne.org, for example, has been taken over by a dermaroller company called owndoc. They try really hard to push their newest "innovation".

did you check the studies on the subject?

>did you check the studies on the subject?
I'm sorry but you need to take those studies with a grain of salt. Medical research are really low quality. For example, there's a study that shows dermaroller+minox basically cured baldness. No one has ever manage to replicate it.

Sage
This shit is dangerous and could irreversibly damage your skin and threaten your health
However it works on your dick. A couple of months after bloody dick, it has grown 2 inches.

What's so dangerous about stabbing your face and scalp with hundreds of needles until it bleeds?
>>12369235
I fell for the meme. Stated using it since January only once a month though. I'd like to say my acne scars have improved, just make sure you moisturize after you do it. Also, clean the demaroller thoroughly.

>I'm sorry but you need to take those studies with a grain of salt.
I always do.
>Medical research are really low quality.
Some medical research is of a high quality. Some medical research is not. You are aware of this, right?
>there's a study that shows dermaroller+minox basically cured baldness.
Is this the one you are referring to?
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3746236/
>No one has ever manage to replicate it.
By writing like this, you are implying that attempts have been made. What attempts have been made to replicate it?

Could you give us more details?
Like the needle length, serums/products used, or sterilization and disinfection process.
>>12369340
Meh, just do it if you believe it. I'm skeptical.

Sure m8.
.25mm and below isn't for scars it's mostly for makeup usage.
.50mm and up is what you're going to want for scars or wrinkles etc. Although if you use a 1.50mm and up it can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. So you'd have to go to a specialist for that.
I use a .75mm, the process is easy and kinda fun lol.
Clean it by dipping it in alcohol and let it sit there for a while. Tbh, I just put some soap on it and rinse it out with water. (I keep it in a container after I use it).
Start rolling it on your face or the areas you're trying to target. Don't go up and down. Go in a single path, lift, and repeat. It shouldn't hurt you unless you have really sensitive skin. Don't be afraid to apply some pressure.
After you're done clean it off again. I put on a vitamin-c Serum after my treatment for at least 3 days in a row until the next treatment.

your not supposed to be bleeding

I've had 2 dermatologist's suggested derma rolling over laser, even considering one dermatologist offered both treatments personally at the same price (derma rolling was a tad cheaper)

I personally wouldn't do this shit myself. A lot of room for error that could end up doing more harm than good. Maybe look into getting it professionally done.
Also, time > # of attempts. 1 treatment probably won't do much, and too many attempts too close together will fuck up your skin. Doing it once every 3-4 months is what I have read and been advised by doctors. DO NOT DO THIS SHIT TO YOURSELF EVERY 3 DAYS, thats beyond retarded

>DO NOT DO THIS SHIT TO YOURSELF EVERY 3 DAYS
You should visit hair loss forums. People do it everyday over there.

in-clinic microneedling =/= at-home dermarolling
>>12370487
How so?
>>12370515
not OP, but needle length is usually a factor. Also a lot more prep and such. I don't actually know the specifics, but pre and post care would be the lamenting differences between the 2.
Major reason for concern would be bent needles, which will only damage your skin instead of offering any healing properties. Specialists have specific ways of looking for bends, preventing them, fixing them etc. You wouldn't get those advantages at home rolling, because the needles themselves are microscopic in a sense, so you wouldn't be able to see bends via human eye sight.
I really don't know specifics, but I'd advise looking into it in more detail.
I wouldn't do rolling myself, all things considered.
But it could get very expensive through specialists.

I don't doubt that, but don't agree with people doing so either. It 'could' work for a few reasons though; scalp skin being thicker than facial skin, and needle length required to reach the follicle as opposed to depth required for the face.
That said, I've never seen anything conclusive to minoxidil (romaine) use by itself vs derma rolling before to increase absorption of minoxidil. There's enough clinical data to suggest minox on it's own is good enough. Dermarolling has always been viewed as that "un-practical" approach to hair loss, and usually only done by those desperate for results; e.g people who have tried fina/duta and minox and have still lost hair

>To fight acne scars
No. Injections of triamcinolon into scar tissue is the best method of treatment, followed by certain scar gels. Mutilating yourself does not cure acne scars.
>balding.
Does it inhibit DHT receptors?

So you basically saying all those dermarolling before and after pictures, testimonials, etc. on forums are just marketing? I can buy that. Marketing people are scums.
