Hugo Boss has many different lines at different price ranges and style types, the same way Ralph Lauren has expensive lines (like Purple Label) and cheaper lines (like Polo Ralph Lauren and Chaps). Fashion brands do this because poor people will "fall for" a name and buy something of lower quality for a premium price for the sake of earning status. Something that is "Boss" is not the same quality as something that is "Hugo" branded. Here's a breakdown from the Hugo Boss brand page. Words like "contemporary" and "stylish" flag Hugo items as stuff that is made for mass consumption.

While $30 is a cheap price, this item is not necessarily worth a lot of money.

it's not fake, but the brand Hugo Hugo Boss isn't the brand you're thinking off. Diffusion lines are brands that use cheaper materials and construction that rely on the name to sell. You'll usually find brands like these at places like Nordstrom Rack. So in short yes it's real, but that doesn't matter because it's poor quality anyways
