Recently lost my wallet (gift from my ex 2 years ago). So idk how to shop for a nice one at all. Going to a department store (Macy's,jcpenny) to look for one just seems extremely expensive.
I've been eyeing minimalists wallets but some seem too damn janky and others just look really ugly.
I can spend tops $100 on a wallet but idk where to start.
Tips would be great thanks.
Pic is a wallet I thought looked nice.

I really like ainste. There's a whole section on the wiki dedicated to wallets though, I'd go prowl thru there.

I can really see the appeal in this but I was looking for something a little more modern-like.
Are brandname wallets just selling the name?

I have a Bellroy note sleeve and it's great, it'll wear nicely and as long as you don't costanza it you'll be fine

I bought my current one in Bogota in 2013. Couldnt have been more than 10 bucks US. It's still in great condition. Real bison leather I think. Incredible.
