Greetings /fa/. I own pic related. Is there hope for dusters? Linen or cotton would be a more authentic choice of material for this old west pattern, but leather is what I've got. For what it's worth I enjoy my duster for what it is: waterproof, warm, and 100% UV protection. And it even smells nice. Any anons with similar? How silly do I look wearing it in Texas?

How attractive are you?
How tall are you?
if you're attractive and tall, you'll look fine
If you want to not look autistic, just find an alternative. There's various jackets in leather and other synthetics that have a similar aesthetic and accomplish the same thing without being a "duster" or looking like Jeeper Creepers

7/10, 5'11".
But what if I also wear pic related? During a Second Amendment demonstration, say.
this board has the most low effort bait

>in Texas
it's never going to be cold enough to wear this monstrosity in texas. you'd better move to canada.
>>12311349
but it does rain in Texas, friendo. this is a full body umbrella.

i am absolutely shocked you aren't taking me seriously

If that's what you want, go for it
Depending on the temp:
Warm:
Polo shirt, mock neck shirt, chinos, plain sneakers
Cool:
Sweaters (Turtleneck or Crew neck would work), Dark Denim or Dark Chinos, Boots
for places to get it:
Cheap: H&M, Uniqlo, etc
Expensive: Ann Demeulemeester, Rick Owens, Tom Ford, etc

I would immediately single you out as a threat, the whole school shooter aesthetic and whatnot. Maybe not if it was made out of a different fabric, cold, and outside, but you would stand out (not in a good way) in black leather.
No dusters. 3/4th length coats MAX. Try Barbour or Drizabone.
GUYS! Listen to this!

Am I missing something here? Is it just really good leather?

Trench coat, not a duster. It's really a damn shame that the two have to be confused.
If you go back and look at 90s shows like Seinfeld and X-Files people wear trench coats all the time.
But then Columbine and The Matrix happened and spoiled a really functional, comfy garment for everyone.
To be fair: Inspector Gadget didn't help.

My best friend lives on the east coast.

Yeh, agreed. I wear it as a blanket when reading postmoderns on the lovesac. My kitty loves to lay on the leather, it retains and reflects her heat back to her.

I don't know what kind of leather you've been using that isn't waterproof. This is maybe 1/4" thick with a liner. Water rolls off it. It's broken in now, I'm going to rub some mink oil into it soon.

I have a 3/4 length surplus Czech army jacket in OD green. Cotton, gets compliments. Doesn't look autistic. It's nice, but not nearly as warm or comfy.

Thanks anon. I'll give Tom Ford some of my monies, I've enjoyed A Single Man more than once.

I guess man. The Matrix was dumb, and Columbine was a couple of faggots trying too hard. I like my jacket, normies be damned.

is a Remington 870 and Condor MOPC with AR680 12"x10" steel rifle plates backed by IIIA soft armor and additional AR500 plates. 9.8mm of steel interrupted by 1" of aramid fiber, stops anything short of a .50 BMG. Weighs about 25lb. Useful for pushups as well as protecting vital organs.

Only Rutger Hauer can pull it off.

PGS are for tools. If you plan on defending yourself you NEED a stock. I bet you've only shot birdshot out of that abortion, that's all you could handle.
nice bag though.
Would this classify as a leather duster as well?

....a reasonable choice for a renowned duelist such as myself.
(horrible, OP. don't ever wear that shit if you don't wanna get ridiculed or stared at.)
