I have like 15 pairs of sneaker shoes and boots. They're rotated such that most are nearly new. Only my skate and work shoes are worn at all. This shit is irrelevant in 2017. Those aren't even real work boots, mine are.

I've seen loads of people use OP's shoes for "real work". Also, of course shoes are going to last a long time when you rotate between 15 fucking pairs. The vast majority of working people have <3 pairs (usually just 1) of dedicated work shoes that they beat to death before getting a new pair.
