I sure wish I could grow sideburns like that.

I can grow really good sideburns but my beard is too patchy to grow out. I have really thick black hair I style into a pompadour or a gosling-esque side part.

Should I grow out the sideburns? And to what length? I could easily grow them all the way down to my jaw.

see elvis as example, full head of black hair, not short, so it goes well with decent side burns.

Yes, mine are ever so slightly uneven and it drives me mad. Otherwise, I let mine grow in pretty bushy and long.

Yeah, I'm on top of trimming now, I'm an 11am shadow kinda guy so I'm used to wrangling my facial hair. I'd probably comb them and use a bit of beard balm or oil to keep them from looking too scruffy
