does chewing gum actually help?

I heard it helps quite a bit

I had anxiety for a few years which caused me to clench my jaw all the time. Anxiety fixed now, jaw looks way better from it. It builds the muscle giving that nice concave look to the cheeks.

I'm currently 18.5 and I've been mewing since I was ~16 and my jaw's gotten better

idk if it's due to puberty AND mewing or just puberty

i don't think gum is strong enough to cause muscle growth, unless you buy hard chewing gum like mastic gum.

What i do is I take a piece of paper towel, fold it and then chew on it as hard as possible and do reps until my jaw hurts.

The main muscle of the jaw is actually huge, like a bicep or something, it comes out half way through the lower jaw and has like in inch width all the way up to the cheek bones on the side of the face.
