Dont use conditioner, only shampoo.

Mess it up while it's wet and let it air dry. No combing.

Don't EVER do this. The barber doesn't know how high or low you want your fade. If you don't know what kind of style you want, just ask the barber to do a low fade and then continually ask him to make it higher if you feel like the fade is too low. Make sure you tip him well.

Looks like your barber went for a high fade and you wanted something lower. So next time to be safe, just ask for a low fade with a 2 on the sides. That's what I usually get and I have a similar hairline to yours, albeit mine is more receded.

I have attached the pic. The hair in pic is faded quite low. That's what you want.

honestly I think this all depends on your head structure and how well of a hairdresser you have. this is a really risky cut and if done incorrectly or done properly but on a improper head shape it could go really bad easily. that being said i think it alright with black hair, this is a very asian style haircut imo so it fits if ur asian.

If your hair is super straight you probably can't style it like him, but try blow drying in the opposite direction your hair normally sits and then just style it normally. It should come out somewhat messy, also, show your barber this picture and have him layer your hair.

I want to grow my hair long to tie it back into a ponybun.

At the moment its about 6 inches long, but my barber tells me 9-10 inches is ideal for a bun. So it looks like I'll have to wait a few months until I can get a nice ponybun.

Alright lads, I made some stupid deal with some mates that I'd dye my hair over the summer while we were out doing stuff together.

I've got a double crown so I decided to start growing my hair in November to try something new with it as I'm fucked for choice when it's short, it's at the point where it covers around half my vision when down or around the bottom of my nose.

Anyone know what the best hairstyles to try over the summer would be, assuming my hair will be maybe to my lips by then. Also what colour should I dye it with the cut, I'm naturally brown with a few weird blonde streaks towards the front.

Also how does dye work and what are the least autistic colours I could do? Aparently I agreed to purple but I can change it. I was thinking maybe a platinum colour like the pic.
How long will dye last and what are my options?

I'm clueless here lads, I just planned on growing it out until school was back on when it would be a decent length. Thanks for any help

Actually this is after the breeze hit it. I had it a lot more symmetrical but less defined when I left this morning.

I used hair glue + blowdrier to style it and then hairspray to lock it in.

It depends on the brand. But my general rule for it is to run my hands through it once its sprayed. That way it doesn't become too concentrated. But honestly just be conservative with it and you probably wont have a problem.

I tend to do something short but my hair is a dirty blonde color so if I go too short it looks almost see through so I haven't tried a fade. I don't know what kind of face shape I have or what would look good. I've done a short spiked in the front look for years.

Both temples are close, but the right temple has a stronger shape as opposed to the left in the photo. Its pretty much always been this way since I was 18. Thanks for the note about pulling back the hair, I plan to cut it in the near future anyway.

This is my hair when I don't wet it down. I typically do wet it down, every morning before class actually. When I grow it out it becomes a jewfro, so I figure I am just gonna keep wetting in down and then in a few months stop, and show my jewfro powerlevel. Good idea?

Was make a Hair Question Thread and some1 advice me to come here.

When i was kid my hair was Light Blond, and now its bark blond sometimes more like grey, and not like my hair shading, its disgusting.

Seriously can't stress this enough. I had obnoxious dandruff a while back, and all I had to do was stop taking steaming hot showers.
It dries your scalp out like crazy and damages your hair. If you can't handle cold water on your body, just take a warm shower and then turn it to cold to wash your hair and scalp. It may take a month or so to make a real difference, but it should be pretty drastic eventually.

All your hair should be about 2-3 inches longer than the tuft on top, with the exception of a low fade on the back and above the ears.
That way it gives your head a more square shape and doesn't make you look like you're balding. Not trying to be mean, but the hair you have now makes the top of your head look really wide in relation to your jaw. I can already see that it's not as bad as it looks; just a product of bad angles and improper grooming.
Buy a set of hair clippers, or you can use a beard trimmer of you have one. You can use that for your neck, and that way you don't have to go in for haircuts once a week. It'll actually pay for itself over time because of what you save on haircuts.

My hair's thinning/receding. I'm thinking of getting a buzzcut. The only issue is I have a really young face (I'm 28, but I probably look 16-18), and I've heard buzzcuts are a bad idea for guys with baby faces.

Not sure if this is true, though, because Timberlake has a buzzcut/baby face and is regarded as attractive, and just from watching buzzcut videos and looking at before/after pics, a lot of baby faced guys seem to look better with their hair buzzed than the more overtly masculine guys.

I put coconut oil in on the evening, tie it back and leave it in overnight, washing and conditioning it in the morning. It makes it really soft. You'll need to put a towel over your pillow to stop it getting oily though.

Also, for this you can just use the dirt cheap jars of coconut oil from lidl, no need for anything fancy or expensive
