I mean, I wouldn't. If you want to wear dark denim with a light denim jacket that could look good but I wouldn't do same color.

Nuts to that. You can go full raw. Hell, they can even be faded as long as they're still close in color. The only danger is that weird middle ground between different enough and similar enough. Odd color combos are also dangerous, but double raw is fine.
