I had this surgery done.

My eye muscles weakened and my left eye would turn inward especially if I was tired or in a busy room with lots of stuff happening. Also looking at things from a distance would cause it to happen.

The surgery involves cutting open the white part of the eye on the inside or outside edge and sometimes on both sides and then either shortening the muscle or moving where it attaches to the eye.

Prior to the surgery, in the OR, I had a panic attack (something new to me) where I was shaking so bad it was almost convulsions. It took two large doses of anaesthic to put me under.

And then I woke up in recovery with a gauze bandage over my eye. It took weeks to heal. Lots of antibiotics.

When it was healed, it was incredible how much better I could see. Like I gained so much more depth perception.

That lasted a few months. Then it went back to how it was before, just not as bad.

I can either have the surgery redone or just leave it. I think you have a 60% success rate after the first surgery and it goes up to 80% after the second. I'm just not feeling going under the knife again.

As it is right now, it's not really as noticeable. It doesn't bother me as much as it did before.
