does anything of the youtube girlscience stuff actually work?
Some must
I'm using the argan meme instead of the coconut meme.

I'm not going to bother checking it out but coconut oil is great as a pre-shampoo, as long as you leave it on for long enough (ideally a few hours, but 20 minutes is a good start)

Wow haha :^) I love science!

>he's mad about it
Poor guy
>>12240265
i do this. i like the smell.
>>12240660
How so? When I leave it in for 2 hrs before and shampoo it out, my hair ends up dry still.

hmm maybe the fucking shampoo is depleting your hair oils buddy
>>12240260
argan and coconut oil both supposedly increase speed of hair growth, if you rub it into your scalp and leave it for at least half an hour. Coconut worked for me at least, my hair grew far faster.

I use it as a moisturizer for my face since I have really dry skin. It's noticeably helped my acne too
>>12241520
No shit. You aren't going to remove that oil with only some fucking water. What are the alternatives to shampoo
>>12241543
I've tried that for a few days twice now, it just makes my acne worse. I guess it's too oily or something
Will Coconut oil make my hair less frizzy?
Also do you have to get special coconut oil for hair or can I use the 'virgin' coconut oil I get in tubs for cooking???

coconut oil is coconut oil, just check the ingredients.
Yes, it works to keep your shit moist. Just gotta cope with being moist
does dry brushing actually do anything?
>>12240260
its only good as lube
just always use conditioner and only use the minimum amount of shampoo necessary.

The same happened to me, I put the oil and apply heat for some time with a heating cap then go to sleep, the next morning my hair is smooth af, i remove the excess oil with shampoo and hair ends up dry and shitty again.

yes it's comedogenic

I don't know, it helps my hair. Here are 2 tips you might be able to make use of :
-tip 1 : coconut oil is great for nourishing the hair, but the hair needs to be hydrated more than it needs to be nourished (or at least, more often). You can make your own glycerin spray (water+ glyceryn but watch the glyceryn quantity, it's like less than 10ml for 100cl of water, otherwise it will have adverse effects). After shampooing but also a little bit every day, you can spray that in your hair and then let it dry and it will help.
That or aloe vera gel (as pure as possible) that you can either add to the spray or just use by itself in your hair.
-tip 2 : maybe the water you wash your hair with is too hard, in which case finishing with a few drops of white vinegar (8% acidity maximum) will greatly help reduce the stiffness and dryness you can feel afterwards.
Vinegar isnt just for the no-poo meme, it's extremely efficient against hard water, at least for your hair.
BONUS TIP : 2-3 drops of provitamin B5 in whatever amount of shampoo you normally use also alleviates the dehydrating effects it can have.
Also maybe your shampoo isn't for you but either way, I think these tips will help.

Coconut oil is a miracle if you have a dandruff problem.
Put some in your hair, let it sit for 20 mins and wash it out.
