I'd have to see the whole pants+boots to make a full opinion, though. 501s are kind of baggy, and there might be a parachute effect tucking them in the jeans - but it might be all right.

501's not shrink to fit are shit for boots.
Way too baggy at bottom. Shrink to fit of course shrinks some, so it gets a little better. Could work.

You would want more 508/501ct/510/511 to tuck in the boot.
