I prefer having high-quality, well-made stuff that appears at first glance to be cheap or econo average. I don't mean brand names or designers who are trendy or pricey, I just mean stuff that's well made and simple looking.

I just mean simple and basic and conservative designs. Simple but sturdy stitching, and without logos or branding. Often it's stuff that's old and classic and very well established. There's beauty in plainness, quite often. Raf does it particularly well, in my estimation.

D&G is the diffusion line of Dolce & Gabbana, same as McQ is to Alexander McQueen or Just Cavalli to Roberto Cavalli.

Tons of major labels have diffusion lines now, similar aesthetic / styles but at a more affordable (usually still expensive) price / quality point.
