What do you think is the best way to keep a room smelling good?
Do you use candles, sprays, oils, incense...etc?
I want to invest in a proper aromatic method for my apartment. Looking for something long lasting that (both the product and scent).
I don't want anything too floral, or too sweet. Something half way, and somewhat sweet.
If it helps, I like roses, herbs, and vanilla as a starting point.
How should I do this, /fa/?
I don't know what other board this would be appropriate on, so I'm posting it here since /fa/ is the closest thing I can relate it to.

Candles honestly. It's nice warm lighting.

I kind of thought the same thing. It would compliment dim lighting and give the environment a more relaxed feel.
The basic bitch answer I often get is Yankee Candle, but that's overpriced mall tier shit imo. Looking for something worthwhile.
I USE INCENSE; MYRRH IS MY FAVOURITE.
scope out your local market or hippie store! a lot of times, those candles are made w/ simpler ingredients & perform just as well. supporting local businesses is /fa/

My mom used incense a lot growing up. They were pretty effective I guess.

I agree, local shit can be just as great, if not better. Worth the extra bucks imo.

Yup, that's what I do. Feels good to buy directly from the maker.

There were some decent smelling candles at Target from a brand called Archaeology.

The problem is, where I live, the store owners almost exclusively cater to women, and as such there's nothing generic/masculine smelling.
The most masculine-smelling candle (pic related) I've found in my area was at a Joanns
I burn candles regularly, but for actually used rooms i think things like febreeze or whatever are also necessary. You need to neutralize smells in the air and on surfaces, not just cover them up(what a candle does).
Both are needed in conjunction. Also, clean surfaces with something like lysol. You'll be amazed how much better your room smells if you clean hard surfaces.
Le Labo's diffuser / nebulizer is pretty nice and their home fragrances are amazing.
Order some samples off their site.
I use their Figue 15 in my home and it never gets old.
