I am 5'7" as well and I can't find a good fitting jeans ONLY because my legs are too thick because I hike a lot and have muscular legs. There exist short enough jeans even though very rare but those are always too skinny for me. Lifting doesn't help with that shit at all as clothing is usually small and short at the same time so buffing up and having a short torso will only fuck up your proportions more.
