As a skeleton where should I begin to start seeing some muscle

As a skeleton where should I begin to start seeing some muscle and looking more like a toned model than a soft stick man? I have dumbbells and am going to begin body weight exercises but its hard to find advice or a routine for this look, most websites assume I want to keep growing when I just want some muscle to show.

Just do what the websites say. You're not accidentally going to turn into a bodybuilder overnight.

Do weight training if you want faster results, body weight training is more about endurance than building visible muscle and becoming toned.

do exercises in the 8-12 range (as in, pick weights and exercises where failure is in this range) for like 3-5 sets, and eat a slight caloric surplus. it will take a while so choose a workout regimine that you don't mind doing repetitively for months.

I'm probably 25 lbs overweight by normal standards (more by /fa/ standards)

Should I even bother trying to be /fa/ until I lose the bounds? I don't want to start spending money on clothes only to have them not fit after loosing weight, or spend money on clothes and it won't look good even if it fits because of my weight.

but even if i start losing weight quickly, it'll be a year before Im actually looking good. do I just accept that I'll be dressing like shit until then?

should fatties even bother until they lose the flab?

Go to a gym and lift heavy

You won't get big. There's a reason why people go to the gym. It's very hard to get huge, but you will tone up if you start eating more + lifting
