I have their lightwash blue jeans and I can honestly say they're one of my favorite pairs of jeans. I've worn them a shitload already and they're holding up great, haven't noticed any tears or other signs of significant wear. I'm a skellington and the fit is perfect for me. Also, I bought them on one of their sales, and it was like $40, so... yeah, great price for the quality.

I'd probably put these on sort of a mid-level denim tier, perhaps with N&F. I have a pair of MIJs that are thicker and a bit more substantial, but then again I think quality is a bit of meme when the jeans themselves are sturdy enough. I've never had Acne but they look overpriced as hell and I've heard stories of them tearing and not holding up very well.

I'd say the main attraction of Puerhomme's jeans is the fit and design (obviously, since they're SLP reps), though you're definitely going to get a solidly made pair of jeans either way. Their price is about what you'd pay for an equivalent (quality-wise) pair of denim on grailed.

Also, check out puerhomme's korean site and look at the denim on sale. If it's really cheap it might be worth it to pay for a proxy, you could end up getting a solid pair for around 60 or 70 bucks.

This might seem somewhat meme-y, but I do have their rep of SLP's L01 jacket. Let me say that I take the perspective of someone looking for a solid JACKET in comparison with others at its pricepoint, rather than just a solid REP.

It's really hyped on lebbit, and honestly, I can vouch for it. The lambskin is really pretty impressive. It's not wrinkly and trashbag-like as with lower quality leather found on other jackets - that's probably the dead giveaway for a shitty jacket. The reviews I've read don't really talk about the lining - they use cupro, so obviously not silk like the real thing. It's definitely soft and has a nice drape to it. Sandro typically uses acetate and similar fabrics in their lambskin riders, for comparison. Other than that, everything the reviews say about the hardware and fit - all pretty accurate in my experience. It is the kind of thing a fuccboi could pass off as authentic, though as I said before I'm more interested in just a quality jacket.

The main reason I bought this one instead of a Sandro or Kooples jacket or similar is because of the fit. I really wanted something more cropped and the only option I saw was perhaps a Blackmeans jacket or something else made with an Asian market in mind. And yeah, this hits the spot exactly for me, and it's even somewhat cheaper than one of those jackets you'd find on grailed (which seem to hover around $500-$600 typically, puerhomme's being $465 shipped).

So yeah, you pretty much can't go wrong with their leather offerings. Just don't expect a $3000 level jacket and you're good.

Speaking of proxies, for korean sites I use korgou and it works well. They're pretty communicative and the site interface is relatively straightforward.

I typically wear a size 28 in skinnies, but the smallest puerhomme had was 29 so I went for that. I was afraid they might be a little loose, but they ended up fitting like a goddamn glove. They have a bit of stretch to them and the fabric is quite soft, so it makes for a very comfy fit. As they're D02s, expect a tiny ass leg opening and tight fit around the calves.

I also forgot to mention this in my original post, and I'm not sure this comes out in the product pictures, but the stitching is really tight and the count looks pretty high. So I'm not expecting a blowout any time soon.

So yeah, pair these up with a stripey telnyashka and some black outerwear and you've got a really slick look.

If you're really gung-ho about authenticity, and really want to feel as if you're wearing something luxurious then yeah, reps aren't going to fill the void for very long. If you're looking for merely a solid piece of clothing, at a decent price point, with a fit and design that you want, there's no reason you'd be disappointed with a decent rep.

And as is pointed out in this thread, there ARE reps with good quality materials. If you measure high quality reps not against their authentics, but against other clothing in the same quality league, it really can be a very economic and worthwhile choice.

I doubt it's the kind of thing most people could tell without a side-by-side comparison, however. You could take that risk (the knit itself is probably of good quality, in any case), though I actually recommend thrifting for a cartoon-ish knit sweater if you dig that aesthetic. There are tons of them, they're cheaper, and being vintage they could be quite sturdy.

Alot of the time, the easiest to produce and most commonly produced replicas are graphic prints or branded items. I'm not defending the sorts of things you see on the fashionreps subreddit mind you; I'll sometimes grab a WAYWT post from there and move it to /fa/'s WAYWT for fun.
