Why is this board obsessed with boots?

Boots are masculine and versatile. They change the entire tone of an outfit.

Some people wear them to make themselves taller

if anything it's sneakers this board is "obsessed" with. particularly "clean" "minimalist" ones.

If I know my shoe terms correctly for it to be an oxford the bits with the eyelets on them have to attach under the upper, as in OP's pic.
When they're on top they're either a blucher or a derby. I think a blucher has to be one piece of leather.
