5'3 asian girl here. Personally I think your weight is pretty ideal. I'm not sure how yours is distributed but I think you're about good. If you were to lose, I'd say 5 at the most. In your case, I'd say exercise > eating less since you don't need to cut a lot.

chest and thin is a rare combination and usually doesn't come with naturally skinny people. don't fret, I'm not sure how old you are but usually as you get older, most /fa type clothing works without a chest.
My hair is pretty basic rn like pic related. I've had it shorter and it looked cute, so I think you should go for it! Depending on your face shape, the chin length hair can look really nice on asians. Currently keeping mine mid-spine length, though.

Read the FAQ and get MyFitnessPal. Follow the instructions there and select 2lbs per week. That's a 1000 calorie deficit which will get your weight loss going really fast while you are still that heavy.

Hi, I just want to vent.
I grew up fat, and a year ago weighed 6'0" 175 lbs after a long weight loss journey. Now I am 6'0" 250 lbs. I experienced a bout of severe depression and instead of losing my appetite like decent people i ate more and more. now I am fat as sin, ugly, disgusting, and I hate myself every minute of every day. I've had a loaded shotgun in my mouth twice and my thighs are covered, and I mean covered, in scars from cutting myself with a boxcutter. I cannot believe how good things were when I was thin, and I went and fucked it up. I don't know what to do. I dropped out of college because I can't stand leaving the home and having people see me as fat again. I sweat all the time. I am not even human. I haven't looked in a mirror in a long time. I am just not human, I wake up and don't feel human, and I spend all day trying to make some sort of connection with anyone on /v/, /r9k/, /vg/, /pol/, /tv/, /fa/, /fit/, just to make me feel human, and I stay up until 7 or 8 in the morning until I can get something that makes me feel somewhat cared about, enough to calm my thoughts and help me sleep.

I just wanted to vent, sorry. I am trying to lose weight now. It's just so hard because it takes a long time, and I can barely make it day to day without killing myself knowing I am this fat.

Ever notice how most of the people who quit smoking just "woke up one day and stopped?" It's the same with anything. The way to quit is just to stop.

The way to get thin is one day you wake up and say "I'm going to get thin" and then you never break that promise to yourself. That day instead of french toast you have two eggs, and you never have the french toast with butter again. That night you don't have a bunch of booze, you have water. You load MFP on your phone and you never look back.

That's how I quit drugs (except for benzos, which I had to taper because of seizures, but I never went backwards in my taper) and that's how I lost 70-lbs and now am worried about the smallest size in stores being a 28.

I had a therapist and psychiatrist at the beginning of this year but I had to stop going. I have problems with intimacy. There's no way I could tell the god's honest truth to them that I'm such a fuckup, it's just embarrassing and pathetic. Plus a psychiatrist weighs you and I hate that.

If you're okay taking advice from someone different, then I would just suggest starting with SS. You will get noob gains from it. You eat at maintenance or a deficit you will still put on muscle since your goal is not to get big.

For cardio, running is the easiest. You just need a good pair of running shoes and that's it. There are other good forms of cardio out there like cycling and swimming, but they require more equipment. Also, for cycling, you will have to bike a lot longer to burn the same amount of calories as running. Jumping rope, punching a heavy bag, etc also work but a lot of people can't push themselves to do it properly for effective cardio.

Do you have a running shoe store near you? You might just want to get fitted for shoes in case you have flat feet or pronate. I like wearing Asics, but the two people I know who have run marathons wear Brooks. Pic related might help you too.

And yes, the SS program you linked is good for starting up. You can switch to something more tailored for aesthetics afterwards, and it's not like you will "accidentally" look like a bodybuilder or power lifter. Also, do abs 3-4 times a week. Ab roll outs, leg lifts, L-sit pull ups, and planks are the ones I do.

The running routine? Well, it's a little difficult to predict. Short answer, probably not.

In my experience, running has resulted in my thighs getting bigger. I do sprint when I run though, which definitely gives you bigger thighs. HOWEVER, they only look bigger from profile view. My thigh gap has gotten bigger and thighs look smaller from the front and back view. But from the side, my quads have gotten bigger.

I believe so. If you have no muscle mass whatsoever, your thighs might get a little bigger, but it's not possible to get T H I C C from just running long distance. Running distance uses the slow twitch fiber muscles (Type I) whereas sprinting uses the fast twitch muscle fibers (Type II). I believe the type II fibers get larger because they need to produce explosive power, but if you run distance and just use the type I muscle fibers, your legs shouldn't get bigger.

I've also read to be wary that your legs may seem bigger when you first start to run but it will just be water weight. Supposedly the muscles will become inflamed and temporarily hold water to help themselves heal if they really aren't used to running. Eventually your body with adjust and become better at recovering though.

I have an eating disorder so it varies a lot.

Sometimes <500, sometimes 1000, sometimes more like 1600-2000, sometimes I purge (the past two days I purged everything I ate during the day, then had 800-1200 calories at night).

I'm trying not to destroy myself, though, so in an ideal world I'm trying to have 800kcal most days, so I can have 1400kcal on other days. Maybe in a 4days per week 800, 3 days up to 1400 way.

I'd love to see you just steady state eat 1300 calories every day. Then maybe you'd not binge or purge and would have nice even energy levels.

That way you can be skinny for a long time, even if it takes a bit longer to get there, since you'll have a system that is sustainable nutritionally. It would take you longer to get to your goal, but you'd be safe from any health concerns or yo-yo'ing.

I just want you to have progress that is sustainable and where you can maintain being skinny but also be healthy. None of that binging or purging or days you eat nothing followed by a bunch. Just a steady sustainable healthy (even if it is minimal in calories) diet. Then once you reach your goal can just tick it up a bit in calories to maintain.

Soo...I'm getting pretty skinny and loving it but I am running into a problem. I want to do more exercise BUT my energy is very easily sapped since I eat less now. Basically I go on a stationary bike and just do super high resistance in bursts because I want to build leg music and a bigger, stronger rear end. If I try to do prolonged cardio it feels really counter-intuitive because it feels like I don't have the fuel for that.

So my question is as long as I eat enough after the high resistance workout, do you think I can build lower body muscle just doing that?

i mean that's what i am so idk my body has very little muscle and is soft, like I don't even walk more than 5 miles a day probably. here's a picture from a few days ago using a mirror.
