Those buildings look nice and have a very modern appearance.

People hate them because despite their appearance they are reminders of a time where communism existed, are usually very poorly maintained or are symbols of the working class. The actual aesthetics are excellent.

have you been to Rovaniemi? part of my family is from there and after the nazi's burnt all the buildings in WW2, they had to rebuild the entire city and it pretty much looks like the pic related.

i've travelled to all the above mentioned countries and ive seen similar architecture at each country, but ive seen more in finland (but i used to live there so that's probably why)

Finland is such a cancer shit hole. I'm half Finnish and I've been living here for the past 4 years in Tampere. Literally the only decent place is Helsinki, and that's only because it's been influenced so much by foreigners. And the language is so aids to learn, but swearing is definitely more effective if you know how to do it properly imo. Just as a suggestion, don't even consider moving here if you have any will to live.
