Its the raglan sleeves and that it is perfectly fitted. So go out and find a wool grey sweater that has a perfect fit when worn with a shirt underneath. You will also need to have a perfect ottermode/athletic build

It just looks great, since when is it prep to care about the formal rules over what looks great? That's trad, man. There are no boat shoes, loafers without socks or Madras jackets in trad.

But besides that, a glencheck sportcoat and a repp tie aren't too formal for chinos. Where'd you get that from?
