Flutefag here, learn breath control better. You dont need as much air as you think you do.

People try and overcompensate for their lack of sound volume with breath, but a change in ambishur(?) and mouth position are all you really need.

I went from clarinet to flute too, just keep tooting and remember that mouth is more important than air
