So, new lemait collaboration is coming soon - who is waiting for it? What actuall lemair uniqlo cllab - was it good? I heard sweaters were amazing.
Might grab a black pullover hoodie, provided you fucclords don't buy out everything from the hype.
Never been disappointed by the uniqlo stuff that I have so far (windproof sweatpants, socks, graphic tee) so some new f/w basics from this collection would be great, as uni is leaving me broke as hell.
does any of you have an educated guess whether it's going to be sold out instantly or if it'll be there for days before getting sold out? i'm thinking about buying a down jacket, but have really no experience with uniqlo what so ever and i have no idea how hyped uniqlo u is
also, how are uniqlo's (down) jackets in size? I'm somewhere inbetween M and L, but I was planning on getting L as an M jacket can be a bit tight
The speed of selling is based on the whole run. The winter collab was limited so it gone fast. The summer one has a big run to reach every single store so it was there for some time.
The U thing is announced as limited but is has no huge letters indicating that it's Lemaire so really I don't know what to expect.
They remind me of archive Lemaire hightops, but they are def from the U line — look at the rectangle lace holes, the same ones go through the whole collection, in this hoodie >>11796013 for example
Is it going to match the regular uniqlo stuff in terms of presentation and price, or is it going to get some separate attention as maybe a more upscale and more expensive collection?
i don't think it's going to be as hard to get
the collection will actually be carried (albeit not the full line) by a lot of smaller uniqlo stores, not just major ones like we've seen the last few times
there should be a thing on the internet somewhere that will tell you whether the stores around you will have it
>>11796402 Prices are listed http://www.uniqlo.com/UniqloU/us/ they p much the same as usual uniqlo stuff. All cashemere stuff is pricey though
>>11796408 They might be saving them for the next release. Maybe some issues with the production, I don't know.
Depends on what you mean. Right now aside from some pants/jeans, an oxford, and maybe a bomber, I can't afford much else - I'm looking at Frank & Oak and COS for that stuff too. I want a competent weatherproof/waterproof 3/4 length coat of some kind like what Veilance has, but there's no way I can afford that. Not looking at Uniqlo or any of these budget brands for performance stuff like that either.
Same with me and the black one lol.
Basic hoodies that don't fit like a trashbag are usually overpriced (Reigning Champ, APC), I'm mainly considering this one because it's cheap and I want to try out Uniqlo x Lemaire stuff. It's being offered and I don't have any hoodies, so why not?
Is it acceptable to wear cheaper basics with high end stuff? Got a really nice Undercover coat from my trip to Japan, but need some stuff to basic stuff to accompany it. Don't really have enough money to invest into Acne basics (wear their tees though, but sweats are too expensive) and RC doesn't fit me that well.
Is there actually any confirmation if UUUU is higher quality (kind of black label) or same as rest of UC?
meh ill pass
most of those you can get in better quality and better design from your local army surplus store
Iv got HEART sweatshirt, grey basic hoodie, wool pants and im thinking about shearling. Jackets and coats are ok, nothing special but accepteble. Hoods, sweats and jeans are meh, generyric zara shit. Also, my friend got their adrians - daamn, thats, my man, shitty snakers.
What happened, how did ro ho's disappear and get replaced by kids that are hyped about fuckin uniqlo???
The former at least was quality craftsmanship and represented avant-garde design, whether it was ones cup of clothing or not...but Uniqlo is just basic, cheap clothes.
Famalamdingdong I am really liking this coat. When will there be more photos of it in the other colors?
I don't need to learn shit to know this is a million times worse than the last lemaire collab.
If you need plain basics, this is probably gonna interest you. But there is nothing in here that will grab someone's attention, ever.
dont think you understand the point of this m8
the clothes are supposed to look like uniqlo, thats what this whole thing is about, lemaire designing uniqlo clothes, the lemaire collabs on the other hand was him making his lemaire style clothes, just using uniqlo to make and distribute it
your point is essentially like complaining that his work for hermes or lacoste wasnt 'lemaire' enough for you, which is completely missing the point
Anyone has experience how to ship Uniqlo to countries they dont ship to ?
They dont ship to Czech Republic YET they ship to fucking Slovakia
I understand the point. I just think it's a boring point. This is why Uniqlo is doing shitty in the US. This brand is just boring, boxy, and overpriced. Their fall/winter clothes is also way too warm for the weather we are getting. They had huge markdowns last year, I'm sure it will happen again with this collection.
Will probably only pick up another black sweatshirt as the uniqlo ones usually fit alright on me, and black sweatshirts are prettymuch the only thing I wear.
went from full collection at three stores to 2 stores in nyc, classic shit allocations
it's literally all the same shittier quality ones theyve been putting out in stores/online, not only that, the fit is going to be atrocious for some items (ie. coats)
fyi uniqlo shoes are shit and will murder your feet
will look and feel like shit irl
but the last lemaire collab was also shit lmao
yes it's boxy, it's uniqlo
stay slav my friend
it's bad my man
>tfw youll never see another ucxuq
Have the coat in brown. Its completely solid for a basic coat. There is nothing wrong with it, functional outside and inner pockets, collar can be turned up and tied off with a scarf, etc.
Uniqlo is like the more boring and overpriced cousin of those two. It wants to be Zara without doing anything fashionable. I do recommend their single color t-shirts though. Although, if there was a Primark where I live, I would buy them there instead since it's half the price of Uniqlo.
Zara's quality is actually insane for their price. A lot of their stuff is done in Portugal, Spain and Turkey. Uniqlo is 100% Chinese sweatshop.
Zara doesn't have anything fashionable but Uniqlo does? How does this even make sense? Zara copies what's fashionable. Although, a lot of their stuff can be over the top. Bu not everyone can afford 200+ for every garment they buy.
uniqlo is all super basic but it's good quality for the money, especially cause everything is on sale all the time
I've had a good jacket from zara but it's like 5 years old at this point and I think they got worse with their quality over time. had two pairs of pants from there and a sweater and the pants weren't wearable after like 2 weeks (stretched out to absolute fuck) and the sweater pilled like fucking crazy
plus it's actually fucking embarrassing to be wearing all those designer ripoffs they're selling imo
if you want cheap fast fashion just get hm, it's the same quality as zara for half the money
Without context yeah. The "without doing anything fashionable" part matters there. If you think Uniqlo doesn't want to be a stronger fast fashion alternative, you're insane. Problem is it doesn't do anything fashionable. It's all ill-fitting basics.
Michael Kors is an embarrassing to wear rip off brand. Zara is different enough that it's wearable. Literally everyone wears something from it. And they do small batches of their stuff, so it's very rare you will find someone else wearing what you are.
Zara sweaters are really garbage quality. desu
Honestly this desu
Its the same opinion I have with liqour, once you start paying for an advertisement budget or if the liqour is priced that high to label it as a luxury good it's not worth it and insulting
how are uniqlo's regular pullover hoodies? I'm looking for one and am considering this (http://www.goodwear.com/products/gsh-094?variant=23178430529) because it's kind of boxy and old school, but the Uniqlo one is a lot cheaper
I honestly don't get this logic
Tees are basically the one article of clothing along with underwear I wear almost every day of the year and almost every hour of the day
It's one of the things I don't want to get some shitty budget option because of that.
Not to say I pay a ton for all my tees, got some airisms that I absolutely love.
> doing anything fashionable
Oh how sad uniqlo doesn'r sell "interesting" "fashionable" and "fresh" stuff like this.
For god's sake just kys scum
if it looks good, it looks good.
there are people who look good in thrifted fits.
there are people who look terrible in fits where they dropped $1k+ easily.
don't be such a sheep.
stop being such a sheep.
T-Shirts are very, very cheap to make. Their materials cost nothing. Therefor, I only like to pay a modest sum for them, why purchase something that has the price raised by 50-60$ to brand it as more of a luxury product? In this case I am talking about Acne, its only a marginally better t, since uniqlo is being made for lardies.
Acne Eddy is basically my go-to tee, but only because I couldn't fit a similary thick tee that fits me as well. Not sure how thick Our LEgacy tees are.
UQs tees are really nice for their price, but they are too thin. Use them for layering and wearing under sweats/sweaters though.
>Their materials cost nothing
if you buy the cheapest shit yeah
not to mention quality and comfort aren't purely about the materials, cut is a big thing as well
I got some Damir Doma longsleeves and Rick tees I have zero regrets buying and will probably replace with the same exact models once these fall apart cause they are just that great.
There is only one check box for race on that application: Asian.
ive wanted a mock neck sweater in off white for a while. wha you you guys wear with it tho?
Usually the collabs are just a few flagships and online. Supposedly this was a wide release, but then I heard they scaled it back. The special website used to list the items and the availability but UNIQLO fucked up and broke the website so you can't see anymore.
If you aren't around Toronto or 5th Ave, assume it's just online.
Hey man. Not the same anon but planning on buying the same coat in camel. How does it stand up after some time? Does it pill up, lose form? Is it thick enough to offer some protection against colder weather?
Is there currently a camel color scheme? The one I ordered was brown. They advertise it in the pictures as being camel colored, but its quite a bit darker than that.
I haven't worn it (still 70 degrees freedumb), but I can say I doubt it will pill up. It's a very smooth to the touch without any loose disgusting fibers. It's very much thick enough to hold up against cold weather unless you live in a icy wasteland. In that case, I doubt you were expecting one coat to do all that.
Nice parts about the coat
>slit in the back comes fastened with a simple string you can cut
>Soft fleece lining on the inside
>2 drop pickets on the left
>buttoned pocket on the right
>Simple flap pockets on the outside
>Can upturn collar and the underside is covered in wind resistant fabric
I'd say its pretty decent desu, but darker than what is shown in the pictures or their lighting is just amazing.
tangentially related by why are they selling two tees for the price of one (or vice versa)
I tried the coat 2 years ago in a store and from what I remember it was very much cancel in colour like in the photos but maybe they have changed it.
Anyways thanks a lot for the info mate.
I think its more military brown then camel, we might just be mincing ideas of colour though since I have poor colour recognition.
Id love to tell you how it fits, but I may have a size too large now (xl) when I might just be a large to them now that they americanizered their fits. I dont live in NY anymore, so I do all my ordering through online with them.
I don't know if other online shops are having pre sale events too, try just searching the online store. I ordered before the email was even out that way.
Copped the off-white crew neck sweater from the pre-sale. Off-white sweaters are my favourite, can't wait.
>the thick white cashmere turtle neck went out of stock as i brushed my teeth, two minutes before i was gonna pay
i dont care that it restocks tomorrow they made me mad so im not giving them more money
i bought all of this
I really wanted their blocktech parka but I found a similar one that I think is better for the same price.
I have uniqlos marine parka from twoish years ago
was pretty great at 50$, it's good and light to wear over my collared shirts for light rain and if heavy rain can layer my mac over top of it
I think it's a bad idea to jump on presale if there will be a drop in the store near you, it's better to see the pieces irl, from my experience they're quite different from the store pictures.
Why are you so defensive? Do you work for Uniqlo? I gave you the site where you can easily find one. How is that not enough?
Never mind dude buy your Uniqlo trashbag. It looks really cool. Worth the price.
Why are you so dumb? Thread is clearly dedicaded to uniqlo collection, why then storm and show eveyone here your "knowledge of fashion" by saying "hurrr durrr uniklo shit dizainar cot bettar" just get the fuck out of here scum.
>somebody is challenging my opinion in my uniqlo safe space
cheap coats at good quality are ubiquitous stop being such a close minded fuck
there you are, thousands of coats that will go for cheaper than the uniqlo one
indeed you have won your internet argument
congratulations friend you have impeccable taste, for you are truly an instant coffee connoisseur
lmao, why the fuck in a world you pitch me a secondhand coat from someone's sweaty body?
We're talking about affordable decent quality coats and not about thrifting or sale surfing "24hr-promo-code-75%off-XL-only".
It's new. It's in stock. It's decent. That's it.
All right faggot I've got you, just end yourself already
Does anyone have any idea how the sizing on this stuff is?
In Uniqlo L is normal human size for me, I'm wondering if this stuff will be slightly oversized if I go L or if I have to go XL for that
XL might be overkill, I'm not sure
Why can't they just tell me how tall the models are that would make it much easier
I always buy Uniqlo stuff in two sizes because their cuts are inconsistent as fuck. Check the size chart against an item that you already own and buy two sizes with roughly the same measurements.
Agree with the other guy zara went to absolute shit pretty quickly. Their tees feels more polyestery than ever, and that phase where they tried to sell goodninja shit was pure cringe. I only have one pair of faded skinny jeans i ripped up at the knees cz why not and i'll admit the stretch fabric makes them comfy, but nothing they've made recently comes close to it.
My main issue is how they try to present themselves as being of higher quality while being the equivalent of h&m with a little extra bling, no substance.
Their fake leather jackets sucks ass, their suits and blazers just feels tacky and charged at a premium, and their footwear feel like plastic moulds.
I haven't copped anything from them since realizing I can get higher quality "designer" items at their price points if I digged through hard enough. My ute ploier pants from their flux collection costed me like 70$ including shipping brand new and thats just one example.
Europe and Asia. They probably had to adjust the machines to make it for our fat people and had to decide how they aren't going to market it at all then be confused when no one has heard of it.
Yeah I've tried on Acne coats before and they're nothing special. I've got the coat from the first Qlo Lemaire collection and the material feels just as nice (it's a bit thinner but I didn't like how stiff the Acne one was anyway).
All that being said though, this one has a 50% wool 50% poly body and they're charging almost as much as the Wool Cashmere blend from last year, I wouldn't jump at this one desu.
The image I posted is from the first Qlo Lemaire collection and it's the one I have. It's more Lemairey and minimal with the hidden buttons and stealth pockets.
The new one (the one in the image you replied to originally) is a bit more basic looking and has a lot of polyester in it yet they're only charging like £20 less. I'd go for the BlockTech one instead if you want a coat from this collection, it's cheaper and at least it does something.
>and i'd much rather get a vintage helmut lang chesterfield for like 200 than this trash lol
etc.etc. It's not that hard to find a good deal.
nigga I'm not the one in a uniqlo thread. I don't own any of these coats.
Idk you tell me why people do it.
That cashmere/wool blend is higher quality fabric then anything acne/lemaire whatever the fuck is ever going to put out.
I don't want to buy any of those clothes I pulled up 3 quick examples of helmut coats on grailed in the 200 dollar range. There are plenty of great coats available, you don't even have to choose helmut to get something infinitely better than uniqlo.
I'm good I already have enough 5000$ winter coats you wanna compare wardrobes here's mine slainbabyny.com/clothes
really don't understand the zara hate on this thread you cucks are just circlejerking each other with no context. OH WAIT I know why its because most of you are americans and zara knows your fuccbois will pay more for zara shit.
I always just go to the zara sales in europe tons of nice shit usually made in portugal/spain for under 20usd. All of my linen pants are from Zara and they've stood up to a year of abuse when I lived in the tropics. Still fit amazing and have nice colour.
Their bomber jackets are alright desu, I only fucked one up when I went to a brutal 8day camping festival and got some red paint on it.
They have very hit and miss designs but you can honestly find anything from great to complete shit at zara. The only reason you cucks don't use it is because you don't have the fucking judgement to actually pick out the difference.
grailed is not always second-hand
items in stores are more or less second hand from the amount of grimy people trying them on anyways
>implying lyst is an h&m and asos retailer
are you retarded do you even know what lyst is
not every coat you see is going to be perfect for you stop glorifying fast fashion and being spoon fed from uniqlo
Literally everything I've ordered from there has been fucking awful quality. The only positive thing about zara is the free collection so you can return back the trash you bought.
