Hey, paisanos!
I'm looking to umm upgrade to an adult mechanical pencil, y'know for adults like me!
I can't keep using this wood pencils like a small child now that I've come of age!
I need to live an /fa/ lifestyle and that includes me writing utensils!
So, what are my options for an /fa/ approved mechanical pencil?
I mean uhh rotrings are a fragile piece of junk meme pencil, r-right?
Thanks in advance for all your help!

Muji for all stationery. Cheap. Basic. Reliable. Simple. This isn't the place to make a statement.

This, I think. I have the plastic version, but they make a metal one, which I recommend. If you pay more than 20 bucks for a mechanical, you're just being pretentious.
If you're into utilitarian EDC, and keep shit in your pockets like me, skip the pencil and go for a tactical pen with a built-in flashlight. It can bust windows, write well, and stab a ninja in the motherfucking neck. All for about 20 bucks.

Rotring 800 is trash, tip wiggles and breaks lead inside.
Rotring 600 is the best mechanical pencil ever made, the machining is very nice and the andvance mechanism is entirely metal.
Pentel graphgears are pretty neat if you can't afford a $40 pencil.

Proof I'm not full of shit.
Also the best lead (and hardness) I've found for general writing.

you tactikool autists and your bolt-action pens and cargo shorts crack me up
Honestly I like a good write tool. I have a .7 mm mechanical pen for all my note taking in meetings and an ink-pen for anything I need to sign.
The Rotring is always a conversation piece with my coworkers.
