well, given that it is a picture of (kike?) faggot Halston in Paris in 1960 and that all of the vintage sunglasses found online by Halston are made in France, I am going to guess his shades are french. Pre 1970s most succesful couturiers wore only the best (tailormade) clothes by classic tailoring houses. Same goes for shirts, ties, shoes, and other stuff. Following that thread, I am throwing Maison Bonnet out there as a suggestion. A parisian eyeglasses maker that offers bespoke glasses for its most demanding customers, it is an institution that has been around since the 1930s.

Pre 70s all designers wore suit and tie, even the young guys. Look at Lagerfeld, YSL. As soon as they got a little bit of money they started buying tailormade suits at revered institutions. Lagerfeld was different since he came from money and had his suits made by Smalto (if I remember correctly), even when he was still in school/ a design apprentice. There was still a strong desire to be part of high society, to fit in.
