You're gonna be looking for tapered dress pants basically. I know Engineered Garments does stuff like that, and some other sort of minimal/clean aesthetic companies. There's one that's really good but I'll have to do some digging to remember the name.

I can get a pair cheap but I'm torn on the color. I like my dark dust mainline shorts a lot, most of my tops/all my sweaters are black.

From my experience, dust looks good with black but usually only in all black/dust fits. So having all black shirts will work well with black shoes and dust pants.

I haven't been too fond of any dust pants, black shoes, white shirt combos - just seems a little too uncoordinated for my taste.

Washing it definitely will help. As a skelly myself I generally avoid long sleeve Rick tees unless they're an XS, just because they sort of stretch out too quick. I'm not sure what long double layers are like though.

rick long sleeves for the most part are long. theory behind it is so you can have stacks of the fabric on your arms. but what material is it? viscose/silk? usually the cotton ones are better at sticking to each other while the viscose/silk ones end up pooling at the bottom hem.

not sure what a tailor can do since the construction of a double layer is kind of weird. they might fuck it up.

i would suggest just trying to exchange it for an xs. maybe cop a womans size.

but if not try what the previous poster said. handwash in hot water then putting it in the dryer for a little bit and let us know how it goes.

One end goes from bottom left to top right, the other end does the criss-crossing. It's a lot simpler than it looks, only one end is far longer than the other.

This is the non-twisted double layer from FW15. It is thicker and slimmer than the "standard" double layers. Think of it as two layers of thick + soft tees. You can wear it on your waist, not as long as modelled in those pictures, if you want.

They've been done every season in my recent memory. They're made with the silk/viscose blend and don't have the 'unstable' seam of the cotton ones, hence the lack of twisting.

They will be much less breathable/stretchy than the UC ones are. People usually recommend sizing up a little.

Single layers have adjustable length as well, really. It's just a really nice kinda "crisp" stacking shirt. Really clean lines and such. I agree that a UC one is a better first cop, but I also think the /JS ones are an incredible shirt.
