Brooks Brothers
are the big chunky n thick / oversized turtlenecks still in or nah? I've wanted one for a while but i find nice turtlenecks are usually too expensive minus grabbing one from topman or something

that turtleneck is still okay depending on the price, also isn't brooks brothers supposed to be preppy? what's wrong about that, unless you're a tryhard ledditor?
>>11514344
Brooks Bros is definitely "preppy intellectual core" as OP put it. Nothing wrong with their stuff as long as you don't dress like you stepped out of their catalog. Also that sweater retails for $450 so it better be damn nice
>>11515025
johnstons has some nice turtlenecks for a bit less, they specialise in cashmere so they might be better quality for the price
>>11514344
looool
most uninformed thing i've ever read on 4chan
go ahead, keep shopping at topman and asos

John Smedley, Berg & Berg and some other brands also make quality turtlenecks in cotton/merino/cashmere (depending on season, usually), and for very good prices - especially Berg & Berg.
Personally I just got this:

Their roll necks in chestnut and eastwood beige are also really, really nice. Hoping to be able to cop at least one of them come sale day:

that turtleneck isn't preppy itself
>>11518082
Good shit senpai have you ever tried Berg & Berg?

Hey OP!
Do you like apples?
Big ups on Smedley which the other guy said but but pricey. If you've not worn a turtleneck before might be worth grabbing a cheap one (from qlo for example) and trying it to see if you like them. Cashmere ones are a bit tougher to get nice ones stick to reputable knit brands or go for vintage if you know what you're doing the best cashmere is hardly made anymore but if ypu can find vintage Pringle your aces. Also don't pay for the Brooks one it's unsubstantial and overpriced like much of Brooks' stuff desu.
