I haven't actually used it yet but I'm sure it will perform nicer than on my mju-ii considering how close the flash is to the lens on that camera

Also you can do a lot of neat second curtain esque shit with it. When I took it to my local camera store to drop off my test roll the guy behind the counter said he taped stuff onto it to get some crazy diffusion going as well

Guy who carries XA here. It's far faster to get out snap a photo and put it back and even faster if I had my mju-ii with me instead, I don't have to worry about battery life, and the limitation to having 36 exposures per roll isn't that bad because it just means I cant waste shots

It's not that much less convenient and I do carry a camera on me just about all the time

That being said if there was a digital camera that was as simple, cheap, and effective, I'd use that in a heartbeat. I'd love a ricoh gr but the prices are jacked up currently

Depends on what I see. If I'm out and about I might snap a picture of building with a nice pattern or a strange arrangement of cars or if there's people doing something interesting. Since I'm very limited in how many photos I can take if I see something interesting I have to make sure I get it right and if I don't I can always come back with my DSLR later

Sometimes I'll go out with my camera bag and DSLR if there's a specific set of photos I want to take. I don't just carry around an XA or mju-ii and thats it. Also they're far from disposable cameras especially since I can use quite nice film through them

I'd really love to get a ricoh gr because it's a fantastic camera and almost fits my needs perfectly but like I said I'll probably wait until the price drops down more

Really I just carry it because I'm good with it and I'd be pretty annoyed if I saw something I'd want to take a picture of and didn't have it

You should read pic related. Ever since I read it I've been meaning to get an old film compact camera and carrying it around. Since you don't have much control over anything, all there is to worry about is the scene itself. Even then, spontaneous pictures are the best since they reveal that which is otherwise imperceptible to us on an everyday basis.

I'm set on buying a Nikon LF35AF for every day and a Yashica Electro 35 to experiment from time to time.
