There's a bed frame on Amazon that doesn't require a box spring and allows for a lot of storage under the frame
Go to a thrift store and buy filing cabinets. They're empty shells for storage and make for a very compact table. Also they're generally able to be stacked on top of one another
Get a few potted plants to make the room feel alive. They're under ten dollars and available in any big box store or grocery store

I'll have a 20 m2 flat.

Unlikely. You'll need more in a good city for a nice view. 300k may buy you a very small condo in a decent city, but probably not in an amazing location. Floors with better views often have nicer apartments as people will pay a premium for the view. Then you have to pay for remodelling and nice furniture, and condo fees on top of your mortgage.

Thanks. I turn the TV screen to the left which makes it face directly to me if I set on the left side of my window seat. I agree not the best view for other positions though.

They are blackout blinds so yeah they block out the sun, and they were not cheap haha.

The top is an old marble fireplace back. I got it off some guy on gumtree for £60.
The legs are called hairpin legs, £30ish from eBay.
The legs are screwed in to plywood, which then supports the marble top. I didn't feel the need to secure the top because its heavy as shit anyway and ain't moving. Hope that helps?

I got it from eBay but it's an ikea one. Last I checked it was 13£ I think.
The bulb is an auraglow 10w colour changing LED bulb from Amazon for £20. By far the most I've spent on a bulb, but totally worth it.

In my experience getting a bed with storage underneath for clothes is one of the most space saving things you can do. Just add a clothes rack for shirts, jackets etc. A clothes rack is also much less fussy about where it can be placed vs a wardrobe.

Be careful with pallets. Unless you want to go full unfinished wood and linen everywhere, it might end up looking really out of place. If you have a box spring (I can't tell from the photo), just get legs and maybe a headboard. Cover everything with a white cotton/linen bed skirt, and you'll still have storage space. Since you have white baseboards/framing, maybe get some art/posters/printed shit in plain white frames, or have accent furniture in white. Get some wall art regardless. Since it's a small room, try not to clutter it with stuff. I love your wall colour btw. My dining room is a really light blue.

There's an inset bookcase the corner from where that picture was taken. I read 7-10 hours a week, mostly on art and society, and have finished 3 books recently. On the last 100 pages of No Logo by Naomi Klein which has been very informative. Highly recommended if you want to know just how deeply ingrained, yet pernicious, marketing is to our culture and don't mind a dense book.

I just work at a takeaway and i'm a fine art student. I'm lucky that my mother owns property (including mine) so I don't have to pay rent. I realise other people don't have the same privilege. But yeah just be creative and try upcycle things.

you can just get the wood at home depot but to get the rustic weathering you have to:
>select a board that shows the heart grain pattern you want
>re-finish the surface by ripping over it with a large coarse circular blade, or a large and very coarse sanding disk
>weather it in the sun and rain for weeks/months depending on the wood and original treatment
>varnish, revisit with sandpaper

the genuine article is something like rough ripped native wood originally used in construction 100+ years ago. with age, the wood greys inside and blackens on the outside like that

Get different sheets. White would go well. Furniture should be dark brown to fit with what is already there. Some drawers would be good so you can begin to remove all of the clutter. Maybe get a bedsite table (wood and glass) and but some stuff on it - plant, magazine, stereo remote.
