What I've found so far is that if it's 100% cotton its usually a good bet, also tees I've bought from top shop have stood up pretty well so far (about a year)

Try to find some plain tees at Levi's. When shopping for some jeans I picked up a t-shirt a plain t-shirt and was really surprised by the quality and softness of the fabric. This plain was in a different fabric than their usual printed tees though
alternative apparel, canvas and hanes are my favorites. they're all about the same price as what u posted too. Also cotton poly blends can be as good or even better than 100% cotton
